  4. How about Bass Assassins,or Pig Plunkers,
  5. They are different. You want a cranking/starting battery with the highest reserve capacity. I put an Interstate 24M-XHD with 135 RC in my Skeeter in '05 and it is still running strong. For sure your livewell and most electronics run off the cranking battery. If you can find an area distributor you might get a better deal price wise on Interstates. Probably be more than $75 if not. 12 month no cost replacement and pro-rated after that up to 30 months. I have had good luck with them for a good many years. Shortbasser Would this be a series 27 battery? I think that is what I have for my starting battery. Nope. That would be a series 24 battery. My guess would be that if your running your original batteries that you have a group 24 for a cranking batt. I use SRM-27's for my trolling motor. If you head to http://www.interstatebatteries.com and click on "vehicle batteries" then "marine" it will take you to a page where you can click on "features/specs" and see all of their batteries and figure out what you might want to put in there. Then go shopping with that model/size info and maybe find a deal. They do have a series 27 cranking battery that has a whopping 180 RC. It's a brute and quite heavy. Shortbasser Thanks for the info, I did take a peek at my battery and it is a Interstate 24 SRM ! I called a Gander store and they have both the 24 SRM and the 24M XHD,both are $89.99. I do have a gift card for $60.00 so that would help. Not sure what the differance is between the two batteries? [i did go on the Interstates web site but they don't give much info between the two. Dan

  7. Are starting batteries and trolling motor batteries the same ? And what should I look for in cold crank battery ( how many cold crank amps )?
  8. I have a 04 19 ft. Triton and the starting battery is 5 years old. I had it out this last weekend and it started ok but, I have my first tournament this weekend. I think that the live well runs off the starting battery so I would hate to have a problem starting my motor later ( Merc. 150 EFI ). So what kind of battery should I get that will not break :-/ :'(the bank?
  9. Bigbassmo., thank you for the info on that site, that is a great site and just what I was looking for! When I retire down there in a year and 10 mo. ( who's counting? ;D ). I will have to take some time to get to know the Rock before I test the tournaments trail. Or maybe I could hook up with a good partner! I don't want to travel alot for tournaments, but fish the Rock,Shoals,Beaver. What tournament trail do you like? Or which would you suggest?
  10. Just would like to see what everyone has to say!
  11. Thanks for all yuour input,I think I will save my money for more SENKO'S!
  12. They are the same type of bait, but what one do you like more. A bud of mine fished a tournament today and they did very well on the Gulp, and not so good on the senko's and they were fishing the same colors! I have never fished this sinking minnow but maybe I should get some. By the way they took first place too.
  13. And it may not get any better with all the people out of jobs.It is just too bad that people have to steal. And I am sure it is not just the Rock having these problems. :-/ :'( >
  14. For a football jig I would go with the Chompers! And swimming jigs Outkast !
  15. This is a great bait! I have caught tons of bass on the Spit-N-Image! And it casts a country mile! The way I fish it, short pops and let it sit.
  16. Would you fish frogs during the spawn and post spawn? This may be a stupid question, but I want to fish more frogs this year. :-[
  17. Not me, no weight at all. They work fine with no weight and I fish them up to 20 ft. if I have to. The ONLY time I would use a weight is when wacky rigging them with a C-rig.
  18. So you were over by the Dam? I like to fish by Kimberling City, west of were you were at! Dan
  19. Where did you stay when you were down there? Nice fish by the way!
  20. I know that they have alot of the Pro Am tournaments. If they don't have the FLW out there, I will have to start one!
  21. Yes it is a great place! We have been coming down there for about 15 years and fell in love with the area! Do they have any FLW clubs or tournaments on the Rock? I have fished the FLW and I really like the FLW format. I was down there about 5 years ago and they did have a theft problem then too, they would take your boat from the boat slips and tow them out into the main lake and strip them down and then let it float down the lake! > i was told that the cops had them traped in a bay one night but they got away. I have always had my boat at a slip and never had a problem!
  22. If your not doing good in the shallows I would fish the first or second drop off. There will be pre spawn or post spawn fish there off of the spawing area's. Work them area's good, with Rattle Traps,cranks,spinnerbaits,jigs,C-rig,T-rigs.ect. Good Luck!
  23. Netbait has one that is as good if not better, the Salt Lick.
  24. I agree 100%, I could not have said it any better! But the baby paca also gets them big mama's!
  25. What colors do you guys like in the Anaconda? I will be ouy for the fist time this weekend!
