  1. I have fished the Big Bite senko type worm and they catch just as many as the senko for 1/2 the cost. The sink rate are about the same too. Big Bite or Zoom I think I would take the Zoom baits over all.
  2. I too ( like Catt ) have been fishing at night for over 40 years! And I guide at night up here in Wisconsin. The weight of the fish I catch at night goes way up. Bass are more at ease at night when feeding. There is a reason that bigger bass get caught at night! I am not saying that you can't catch big bass during the day, but not with the numbers that you can at night. As for your friend fishing during the day and not doing as well that is part of the game. I fish tournaments and also fish just for fun during the day time and night time is the wright time! If he wants to still try to fish during the day time, when the bass get into there summer patterns just try fishing deeper water and you may find some bigger bass. And I don't think that it is a confidence thing.Bass will move and feed at night more than during the day. Now that is not all the time, but I have kept logs for many years and I have done seminars at Bass Pro.Gander Stores, Cabelas and I have done two articles for Waters And Woods Magazine on this very subject. I don't want to come across as a know it all, and I am not trying to put anyone down! This works for me for along time and it is not a confidence thing but a fact that BIG bass will become more active at night. Doug Hannan ( Not sure of the spelling of his last name ) has done many articles on this and many others .
  3. Do any of you fish this worm from Zoom? I have a bunch of these worms and I don't seem to fish them. I know they will catch fish, but I just forget to fish them or I just want to fish the worms that I have been fishing for the past few years. Just wanted to see if anyone fishes these worms, they have been around forever, not sure if they make them anymore!
  4. I did see the post on rain gear. I was thinking of buying some frogg toggs. I guide at alot and I want extra rain gear for my guide trips. What do you boys think of the Frog Toggs? I don't want to spend a ton of money but I want something that will keep my people dry! Thanks
  5. As for my jig I like the Chompers fin. jig with the paca chunk!
  6. Bass Pro hands down!!!!!!
  7. The finesse worm is a shorter than the trick worm. I don't have them in front of me but,I think the fin. worm is 5 or 6 in. and the trick worm is about7 or 8 in. worm.
  8. This is my time table too! But, you can fish now at night and do well. One thing I would do is fish very slow, baits like jigs, baby Paca craws, tubes, flukes, fin.worms, the 7" Anaconda, and maybe try a jerk bait.
  9. I would have to say KVD, then Larry Nixon, Rick Clunn!
  10. I have 3 little dogs and my wife won't let me take one of them! She thinks I will put a hook on him and throw him out! ;D
  11. You should have put late night! this would have been my vote, so I went with evening! :'(
  12. I too agree on these two scents, they are the only two that get in my boat. I need to ask you something RW! I know that this will happen to me this year= I will open a bottle of JJ's to dip my bait and I will somehow spill it on my carpet :'(! So WHEN I do this is there anything that will remove the stain? :-/ And the smell? :-?
  13. I would bet that one is a creature bait, and maybe a swimbait!! : :-? :-/
  14. OK, this what you need to fish frogs in the slop! A 7 ft. to 7 1/2 ft. rod. Mh to H action with a x-fast tip! And a high speed reel like a 6:3 to a burner likw a 7:1 with a good drag. And as for line Power Pro or Sufix braid 65 lb. I have two frog rods, one is to fish frogs like Spro frogs and the other to fish frogs like the horney toads. Both of my rods are 7,6" and a 7,10" H action and a x-fast and the other is a fast tip. I hope that I have helped you!
  15. I have some of the other Carrot Stix,s and I am in love with them! And I will be buying more ! I would think that the flippin stix would be as good as any of there rods!!!!!! Just fish one and you will be a Carrot man too!
  16. I can't take it! The bait monkey is watching!
  17. When will they be out or when can we expect to see them? :'( :-/ : :o >
  18. Come-on give us a hint? Give us something to think about! :'(
  19. I went to a friends pond and I was trying the Baby Action Cat and did it catch on with the bass! Just want to know if anyone has fished this cool bait? It is like a Baby Brush Hog but it is a Tube bait. I had two packs and i will order more for sure! I was fishing them with a Lindy tube insert.
  20. I will have to say that this statement is wright on!
  21. Yes they are the Shaw Grigsby hooks!
  22. As Wayne P said, they were made for tube baits. I will have to go into the lab and try them on other baits and see what I can come up with! : :)
