  2. After I posted it, alot of other people told me that the H2Oc was a great Handheld Gps. I am talking about people that did PM me and some fishing buds. I just wanted as many views as I could get. So when I thought I had enough input I bought it.Dan

  4. I am new at this GPS stuff. I just bought a Lowrance H2Oc. And I have many questions? :'(
  5. I agree, and as for the shipping cost.you would be better off paying the tax! I have ordered a few rods per catalog,because I could not find the one where I live,but I new how the rod fished or how it did feel by fishing a buddys rod or looking in the store at say a 6,6" rod of that model and I wanted a 7 ft. rod.
  6. There are many good tips on here. But I would say a daiwa Megaforce for about $ 69.00, I bought one and it was very easy to use,nice and smooth reel.Or the Pflueger Echelon or the Cetina.These would be my picks.And you may find them cheaper if you do your home work. Dan

  10. I doubt it. You could probably run it for a month on a deep cycle battery. I don't think my cranking battery is a deep cycle ,not sure!
  11. I have a Lowrance H2Oc Handheld GPs. What I would like to know is this= if I was fishing all night with with the gps and the cig. lighter plug on, with the back lite on,what would it draw from my boat battery. Could I drain my battery down too much?

  15. I did talk to someone at Bass Pro who did know alot about GPS. He told me to get the H2Oc and that the replacement is not as good as the H2Oc. And that the new one would not take the software like the H2Oc. SO you guys and him help me make my mind up on the H2Oc. Now I just have to find one cheap!

  18. I am looking for a good Handheld that I can track my path on a lake map.
  19. I am also looking for a easy to use gps. I don't want to have take a class to learn how to use it,if you know what I mean! I have been looking online at some and I think I am more confused. I am willing to spend about $ 300 and at the top end $400. :-?

  21. This Spring I will be guying a GPS. My question is, is there a handheld model that has lake maps that you can see your boat route on the lake map? :-[
