  1. tipptruck1, as long as you're around, tell me what you know about Chuck's landing. I'm thinking launch and go up stream?
  2. If you can squeak an extra $15-20 look at the Orra SX 8-)
  3. Sorry things haven't gone well, I hope in the end your mom is happier. Best of luck to your mom and you. I don't know why they wouldn't let you retrieve some fishing vids/pics but I guess it is what it is. It'll be cool to see 'em up on the forum once you do get them. Sounds like the fishing was pretty tough the other day, but it's early. 8-)
  4. Around here a lot like pickled northern. Personally, I don't have a use for anything in that family when it comes to eating them. RoLo, many times I have heard that if you do it right that you can catch all the bones and I have yet to come across anyone that can do it right. I'm not saying that you can't but, just that I haven't come across the real deal yet.
  5. You're not seriously comparing her to any of those drivers are you? She's not worthy to carry their helmets. They'd just whine that she was carrying the helmets wrong. Carrington, As far as her narrowly missing the wrecks, the fact is she does miss them. We've all witnessed near misses before with the same tactics; I don't remember anyone else being scrutinized this badly for it. As for her stats and experience; I have seen others that have looked worse. Rough around the edges? Maybe, but the worst on the track?.......Any one not causing a wreck by driving within their developing talents deserves credit. And looking for help from the pit when there is a wreck ahead, no other driver does this? Sorry, I have heard many drivers asking the pit/spotters which way to go. To me, if your looking to avoid your own crash and need split second help, it's the smart thing to do.
  6. I used to keep a bunk bed mattress already sheeted with pillow and blankets folded in half with a tie string in the garage. Whenever I wanted to take off, I would just toss it in the back of the truck. Works pretty good when your running solo.
  7. There is a flowage local to me and on almost any given day all you need to do is find a lay down and have a 1" twister on hand, touch the water and wham! You can limit out in 15-20 minutes. It's fun but it's definitely not rocket science. Normally we'll bass fish and just before leaving the flowage we'll stop and do this for our supper.
  8. The idea is to keep it local to southern Wisconsin, some of our Illinois friends will be migrating north for this and we want to keep the drive reasonable for everyone. 8-) I have heard tons about the Gile Flowage towards Ironwood, and am going to try a run that direction this summer for smallies, it should be a productive water.
  9. Cool, nice and chunky! 8-)
  10. That's just crazy. I'll turn the heat up 22 in central WI right now, high in the mid-30's for today.
  11. Looks good, someday your gonna have storied to tell about your set up. 8-)

I know when Mike sees this, it's gonna bring tear to his eye.
  13. leading edge of old weed beds and points that transition sharply from deep to shallow depths. fishing cranks slowly has produced the most for me but am looking forward to working more with soft plastics this spring and early summer.
  14. I'm not sure how to read it, but I like the pic of that one in your second post. 8-)
  15. When I saw this, I thought of the thread you had a while back with the watches. These beat the snot out of my Citizen' http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/entertainment/2010/02/25/watches-cost-houses?test=faces
  16. I was okay with this until the last sentence.
  17. Great job on the interview! 8-) I would love to be a mouse in the pocket on days when, unwittingly, someone asks you if you have ever met someone famous. It must be a hoot seeing their reaction when you start spewing names. ;D
  18. Check out the Revo S, Orra, or Shimano citica for something in the $100 area. If that is too much, check out BPS for their Extreme series for 20-30 bucks less, and for even less, several have had luck with the Ambassadeur Silver Max; that can be had for around $50. You get what you pay for, but in there respective price ranges, these reels have steadily received positive reviews.
  19. ONE Recently, when I went to McDonald's I saw on the menu that you could have an order of 6, 9 or 12 Chicken McNuggets. I asked for a half dozen nuggets. 'We don't have half dozen nuggets,' said the teenager at the counter. 'You don't?' I replied. 'We only have six, nine, or twelve,' was the reply. 'So I can't order half dozen nuggets, but I can order six?' 'That's right.' So I shook my head and ordered six McNuggets (Unbelievable but sadly true...) TWO I was checking out at the local Walmart with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those 'dividers' that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the 'divider', looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it. Not finding the bar code, she said to me, 'Do you know how much this is?' I said to her 'I've changed my mind; I don't think I'll buy that today.' She said 'OK,' and I paid her for the things and left. She had no clue to what had just happened. THREE A woman at work was seen putting a credit card into her floppy drive and pulling it out very quickly. When I inquired as to what she was doing, she said she was shopping on the Internet and they kept asking for a credit card number, so she was using the ATM 'thingy' (keep shuddering!!) FOUR I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. 'Do you need some help?' I asked. She replied, 'I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to fit this?' 'Hmmm, I don't know. Do you have an alarm, too?' I asked. 'No, just this remote thingy,' she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, 'Why don't you drive over there and check about the batteries. It's a long walk....' PLEASE just lay down before you hurt yourself!!! FIVE Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, 'I'm almost out of typing paper. What do I do?' 'Just use paper from the photocopier', the secretary told her. With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five 'blank' copies. Brunette, by the way!! SIX A mother calls 911 very worried asking the dispatcher if she needs to take her kid to the emergency room, the kid had eaten ants. The dispatcher tells her to give the kid some Benadryl and he should be fine, the mother says, 'I just gave him some ant killer........' Dispatcher: 'Rush him in to emergency!'

  21. Me, me, I'll take it! Seriously, if your over what your box will hold maybe that's why it shows a negative.

  23. Mike if I can wing it, I am trying to get a special treat down there for the wine tasting, this cheese should be consumed only after the proper critiquing that a good cheese deserves. I am figuring the logistics as we speak. And no it isn't Velveeta! ;D

  25. When they are feeding they are like hogs to the trough. At least that has been my experience. Generally if I am targeting them, which is rare, a Mepp's #5 or maybe a shallow crank will do the trick.
