I myself learned how to fish tules when i lived in So. Cal (San Diego). being that you had high winds just remember this. tules are the first place any bass forage will go when the winds pick up therefore the bass will follow my best days fishing tules always came pitching as deep into them as i could. on calm days my best sucess has come with one bait A SENKO tossed right on the edge of the tules. heres what can happen when you get real deep in the Tulles....

well caught my PB best smallie on sat at a local tournament and man was it fun.

Well fished the BBT benefit tourney today on belton. We just could not get a few more bites I managed two nice 4 lbers. The Smallie was caught on a AT Tackle 3/8 jig in dirty craw with a rage craw trailer. and the LM was caught on a watermelon/red trick worm up in a log jam. all in all we finished 11 or so and were awarded with two rods. if we could have just gotten a few more keeps we would have had a nice pay day. first place and big bass took home $2200.00 and did i ention it was only $75.00 per team.

Well took a trip to choke canyon to fish the ABA tourney last weekend. day one i managed 2 fish with a nice one weighing in at around 5lbs. and day 2 again only managed 2 fish it was tough only a couple of guys managed 5 fish and around 12Lbs won it on both days. all in all i can say i loved the lake pheneominal fishery as we all know. O ya also my boater on day 1 caught a nice 9Lber. And watch out for the GATORS they are HUGGEEEEEE.

yes ive been using it for a few months now. Love it its super smooth and suprisingly strong. the best attribute is that its is extremely smooth. Ive been using 12lb for my medium cranks and 10lb for my deep cranks, And soon will be using 15lb for my shallow cranks

Your probably dealing with what is called resident fish. Due to this.. you are catching them and then it takes a few days for them to recover. My Tourney director who is a very Knowledgeable fisherman told me that its be shown that it takes the average bass approx 2-3 days to fully recover after being hooked due to stress.

Also my buddy is a pro-staffer from marine outlet and i dont believe they have a full field yet they are caping it at 210 boats i believe they are 12 short still. You can use 7:1 for everything except Deep Cranking where you really need the low gears to help you pull that bait thru the deep water on REALLY long casts.

very true but florida especially south florida is a huge exception as far as seasons go. you really dont have what most would call a fall transition period. at about this time you should be throwing stuff into the thickest nastiest stuff you can find your waters are still in or near the 80 deg mark and the bass are sick of it so they go and find santuary in THICK STUFF. if you havent tried these you are dead worng and just plain sick. http://www.***.com/descpagePAYSK-PBPS.html

one thing you have to understand about the fall is that the bass are gonna begin to migrate following shools of shad into pockets near productive main lake points. My usual game plan is to start early with a fast moving topwater like a Zara Spook. from there ill start throwing a fast moving crank like a Rapala DT4 or DT6. Remember this is the time when the shad will be schooling on top and the bass will be suspending of the bottom around cover waiting for a school to come by. Also one very producive way to target Fall bass is a white swim jig. Plain and simple There is no need for plastics untill we get to late fall where bass are deep in pockets and cove tight to cover just before theyre move back to deep water for the winter. HOPE THIS HELPS

What is happening is that the bass are using noise and movenment to track the suspecting frog and in your situation they are keying in on it and attacking the last know position it sensed it at if you get what im saying cast it out let it sit for even a few minutes just shake it in place, if nothing move it a foot and repeat.

Yes in fact it has a huge tranny cooler. it almost covers the whole radiator.
