  12. for a trailer paca chunk are my favorite. get a pack on sale and just watch the action as the jig falls . the legs go wild. as for a jig im in the market too! trage-
  13. i didnt have any luck on jigs bigger than 1/16oz jigs. caught a bunch of dinks and a few lbers . then i started getting into the 3/8 oz sizes. i have a swim jig that i was useing the past few days and had to really cut down on the weed gaurd cause i set the hook(or think i did) and two heads shakes and the fish was gone. i felt it was best to use the jig by DOCKS. my suggestion cut down the weed gaurd and find some docks. i found they were on a pattern of docks at 3 feet of water. missed a 5lber two 3lbers cuaght a 2 and half and a 4 and a half. give docks a shot!. Trage
  14. yes the biggest. but if you catch a 5 lber today and a 7 lber tomorrow now your 7lber is your score. obviously because its the biggest that you have caught within the contest time period so far. bigger the fish=the more points you get.
  15. pretty much the 2lb 8 oz fish i caught score is gone and you come up with a new score for a new fish. the new fish weighed 4lbs 10oz so you have to the do the calculation all over to find your new score . convert ounces to lbs. ex 4lbs 10 oz (74 oz or 4.65lbs) divide that by the state record which is 11lbs 4 oz (180 oz or 11.25lbs) 4.65/11.25(100)= 41.1111 that help? t
  16. Upgraded to this 4lb 10 oz today with Mr. Fishsticks taking the picture 4lb 10 oz and state record is 11 4oz so bumps me up to 41pts

  20. hey fellas i was just lookin through my bass library and other fishing books and realized i needed something new. i happened to pick up "largemouth bass- an In-Fisherman handbook of strategies" this is the book by the linders crew. i gotta tell you i dont know what i was missin. this book is aweome and i highly recommend it. has all the history of bass fishing. tons of strategies lots of interesting facts like bill dance helped create the motor war when he had a 60hp motor and everyone else had a 30hp. very interesting so far. So heres the question whats your favorite bass book that you could and need to read 3 times to get all the info out of it. ;D here are some of my favorites In Fishermans- Largemouth Bass - awesome info The Freshwater Angler- Advanced Bass Fishing-great pictures any bass masters magazine haha i knoe i know
  21. hey, I know you were asking about floating frogs and i was lookin at the same question last year. i tried ribbits, rage, zoom horny toads, spros, and spros competion which i forget the names. i found i get much greater action out of baits that have a fall to them like a dieing frog. most of my hits i was eeither ripping them across the surface or just after i let it "die" for a second or two then ripp it. my favorite was the zoom horny toad just because its got great action and the legs are easily able to fit in the frogs mouth for a good hook set when you use a 3/0 ewg gamagatsku. i know this probably didnt help hahaha but just thought id give my .03 cents. and by the way i fish in some of the nastiest stuff which is about in inch thick of much and just ripp that braid through it. trav
  22. Hey fellas on another post comparing the mg to the curado a lot of the guys were saying that the mg excelled more in throwing light lures than the curado. i just ordered a curado in the mail and im not sure im havin buyers remorse. but my question is Why is the mg better at throwing light lures and what makes a good reel a light thrower ?

  24. hey guys im gjetting a class one hitch put on my honda so i can have a car top roof rack on my honda accord. the hitch then extends for a one man loading rod. the rest is balanced on the roof rack. im gettin a 12 foot poly jon boat that needs to go on my car. ive looked at thules and everything else. what do you guys use or have used. they are a darn expensive for a boat that is 110 lbs. t
  25. hey guess i got 3 reaction strike swimbaits after seeing them in the small demo tank. looked pretty kool. so i finally got them home and tried em out on the lake just to see what they looked like. i have the slow fall models in the 3 colors of rainbow trout, bluegil, and then a white shad or something. so i tried the trout. cast out slowly trolled it back had to break the hinges in . then i tried to swim it with a medium fast speed and it layed on its belly and acted like a ski!!! i tried this for the other 2 and it happened to them as well. so are these baits not made for a medium fast retrieve? i think im gonna try to trade all of them for 30 bucks if thats the case. i did try my true tungsten and i ripppppppppped that sucker through the water perfectyl but the faster sink did tend to lay on its side so whats up??????? trav
