i too own a bps extreme. i unfortunately bought it at full price. i got the 7' m spinning rod. i think its an awesome rod. good enough for what i use it for. light weight plastics. i know you said it was at 5.1 oz but then i added the weight balancing system and it felt much lighter. no one seemed to mention that. i have felt the carrot stick and thats a great rod too not sure the weight it feel lighter but its a once PEICE!!!! i think the extreme is the ONE of the best two peice rods for around 80 bucks on sale right now.

really deep its pretty much like a big bowl with the deepest at about 120 feet haha.

i have a rear 55lb thrust minn kotta trolling motor. is there any way to turn the head and throttle to make it a front of the boat trolling motor help! trage

hey fellas the local lake i fish here in ny just opened up and all the ice is off. read the water temp at 39 degrees 3 days ago. im gonna check again tomorrow but its sposed to be 64 on sunday. so im gonna head out. heres my question---- what temps do you start hittng the water if it gets that cold and is it worth hittin it if its in the low 40's? im thinking senkos and shakey head worms. what would u do? t rage

what size hooks do you guys use for they baby craws and the tiny craws. i was thinking of using a 3/0 ewg on the baby and a 2/0 on the tiny craw but they both looks too big? so what size hook and for the paca craw what size weight do u use on the e2 jig?

the guy selling them said that he likes to switch his hooks to make the swimbaits sink more. he goes to a #2 gamakatsu or larger! maybe that will help. i have the slow sink what sizes do u have.

hey fellas im lookin at gettin some basic shakey head equip. i got some evolution shakey heads in 3/16 and 5/16. i was just playing around with some worms and i think the worms are too heavy? they kept falling over. so what jigs and weights do you boys use and what is ur favorite worm or plastic on a shakey head? help!!

Picked up 3 of these for 40 bucks at a hunting expo. got them in bluegill, blue black herring, and ghost rainbow. all in 4 inch at slow sink. anyone got any of these? i have two tru tungstens in bluegill and herring as well. any feedback would be awesome! ;D

Hey fellas, I went to the Rockland county hunting and fishing expo today. Saw that Shaw Grigsby was gonna have a seminar and i was pumped! yesterday hank parker was there doing a seminar but i wasnt able to make it cause of a thing called work. haha. but luckily enough me , my dad, and a buddy of mine was able to get to the seminar and even meet and get some photos and autographs. He had an awesome seminar about some soft plastics rigging and some other odds and ends but the best part was seeing how excited he does get talkn about fishing. he was only sposed to talk for about an hour but said "aw heck ill go a little bit longer cause i gotta tell u about this! " . I got the fever bad now! also met Bobby from megastrike. told him i was a bass resource member and he hooked me up with a free tube of the new stuff. What a day! when i watch hook n look i learn a ton. it has to be one of my top favorite shows. if i could get down there i would! you see exactly how many fish are holding on certain breaks at that day and various other things. i just worry about the 50 lb snapping turtles. dont want them biting my peshy off. even though itd be a small snack

I posted how i caught it awhile ago . wish i could go back and read it over again. haha but i caught taht fish in a local pond near some really popular soccer fields. mostly dinks and then this one ! whamo . scary thing is .....her older and bigger sister is in the adjacent pond and hopefully will be my victim this year!!!!

hey fellas, im seeing all these new ads for the side imaging from hummingbird. but when i look at it itseems its backwards to me. like the right side should be on the left and vice versa cause of the shadows. so are they any sites to help u understand these side imaging units and are there any other ones except for the hummingbirds? thanks trav

hey fellas just started learning how to use a baitcaster. got me a bionic blade 7 ft mh suited with a citica 201e. still gettin backlashes but i can cast probably 25 yards with a 3/8 oz plug which i guess is good? but when i try to pitch and use my hand to control the spool and my off hand to pull some line out i have issues. as im pitching and i direct the plug to my target i let go with off hand with the extra line and as soon as the plug uses up that slack and needs more line it stops suddenly before the spool starts to give line? its not smoooth at all and even if my spool hand is totally off it still chokes up. need some help and sorry if my explanation wasnt clear ahha trav

hey fellas currently i have a these rod set ups and let me know if u think ill be suited better with a variation of one of these outfits. 6'6 M Bps extreme spinning- okuma reel 6lb test. senkos and light to medium jigs and drop shots and worming 7" MH bionic blade- citica 201e- 12 lb test spinnerbaits and medium to large jigs. can i use the BBlade for cranks and lipless cranks? or should i get another setup. and if so i need a recommendation for a 2 peice rod cause i have to fit it in my car. thanks trav

Hey Fellas, Ive been a ike fan since i have seen him on tv. i always watch his show city limits. just seeing one of these pros as a pumped up enthusiastic fisherman is pretty awesome. i show some of the same "antics" when i go fishing and its nice to relate to one of the best. most of the other pros seem like they hold it in. i know if i was on that scene ike would have a def emotional rival haha not pro equal though! I remember when i caught my personal best i was screaming like u just cut off my casting hand! haha and i was also screaming when my lastest possible pb broke off. loved the interview and thought it was awesome he told us his method of fishing and equipment. well im sure u fellas are done listening to me but way to go IKE!!!!! and thanks for your time with bass resource and thanks glenn as ALWAYS trav

whats your favorite. i think these baits are pretty awesome does the craw papi claws move like the netbaits and rage tails on a fast retrieve? what are your thoughts? i got the craw papi in pb and j in the medium size and also in the largest in black and blue shadow. just dont know if i need to buy the netbait or strike kings also. help me bait monkey ;D

ya i was thinking there wouldnt be a set temperature and i kn0w that the water temp is constantly changing. it would make sense that once the temps remained constant above 58 for a week theyd get their beds going. thanks ill look into the previous posts

Hey fellas i have a few questions about what temperatures start what cycles in the life of fish . For example what temperatures usually start the prespawn and spawn? and are the temperatures for these cycles to start and end consistent with temperatures across the country or just in the region? I also heard that lmb will spawn in shallows versus smb that can spawn in 10 foot of water. is that based on light penetration or temperature or both. im gonna try to record all of my catches this year with a temperature reading as well. thanks for the help
