I've got both go with the magic swimmer. You can use it on top by keeping a steady retrieve and your rod tip kept high or you can go slower and get down a couple feet. Its more realistic.

I think matching the hatch is the wrong way to catch bass alot of the times. They have a ton of baitfish to eat and your throwing something that looks the same at them why would they eat it.

A nice dark almost black gray/smoke color is hard to beat for smallie but really any dark color is good and sometimes a lighter one.

Give stuff 1 week in the fridge them throw them out is the standard in professional kitchens and a good guideline for your home.

Try the matts baby bass its slightly more than cheap but its still a great price and they catch alot of bass.

5 day trip to the boundary waters in Mn. I bet I averaged close to 100 a day. Most were dinks but some were very nice 6+ pounders. I know the best day I was close to 200 plus pike and eyes. Fishing from before it was light to after it was dark on awesome waters makes for a great time.

Prop baits are a must for top water in low vis. water. Devils horse is a good low priced choice.

Steel and tungsten are 2 different metals and lead is somewheres between them as far as density goes so I guess you'd be wrong.

I've got a couple of them and like them. Fish it just below the surface reeling and stopping and twitching. Works good.

If I'm smallie fishing on a lake and its got some big boulders on shore I'll try to find a spot the wind is blowing waves into them. Waves crashing into rocks seems to really draw them. Other than that I don't really pay attention.

I'd go TT cause I like bluegill, bass, and perch better than shad colors. Also the adjustability of the sinking rates is nice.

I see that tw has them available for pre order. Anybody have any idea what they weigh. I like the colors alot more than the spro shad and the price is the same.

remington 870 Dove season starting 1st, bunch of other seasons starting 13th my fishing poles will be getting used alot less. If I do fish it will be with top waters cause as it gets cooler out I can get bass on top water all day and it has started to cool for the year. Plus they are fun. I'll also use plastics cause they catch the most fish but if I was going to use one lure I think I'd try a devils horse.

Seems pretty cool. I'm a top water fan but have never gotten anything expensive not even a lc cause I didn't really see anything better than spooks, devils horse, and pop-r but this may be it.
