  1. Happy Birthday America! God bless her and those who protect her, both here at home and abroad.
  2. True dat!
  3. A Spybait and a Ned rig for me. And I must admit I probably should cash in another round tuit next time out and give Ned a shot at putting fish in the boat...
  4. Very nice work @JacobPollitz, looks like factory new. I’m currently waiting for cork filler and U-40 cork sealer from Mudhole Tackle to arrive. I did contact G Loomis to ask what products they’d recommend to do this repair myself. And as one might expect, the reply was send it in if you think it’s a warranty repair due to defective materials...

Hello @Wolfman, and welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  6. Things weather wise are much better @Oledog, with any luck the summer fire season will be uneventful. Our reservoirs are full, with ample snow pack allowing skiing at Mammoth Mountain into August, and limit salmon fishing is currently going on outside the Golden Gate Bridge. I am optimistic this translates into a good Fall salmon run on the Sacramento and Klamath rivers.

  15. Lucky Craft, Jackal, and Megabass. Not necessarily in that order cause I’ll let the fish decide...
  16. I’d think most of us have a pocketknife in our tackle box, if not in our pocket. In my opinion, a pocketknife works great, rarely leaves random strands of fibers and I don’t need to spend the money looking for something better. I’ve got a multiple pairs of fingernail clippers in my pocket as well for fluorocarbon and mono. This was after the dentist asked what I’ve been chipping my front teeth on and I told him it was fluorocarbon fishing line...
  17. Not too shabby @jbsoonerfan, good looking pairing!
  18. Congratulations @TOXIC on your retirement and welcome to the club, you’ve earned it ! It’s everything “they” said it would be by the way. As @Harold Scoggins pointed out, the “honey do” list gets longer but the good news is you’ll have more time to do it ?.
  19. Congratulations on your running career and agreeing with me that big dollar shoes are truly worth every penny to serious athletes. Now back to the original question about how much would you spend on shoes to wear in your boat. I’m out...
  20. Not really, it’s more of where you place value and ones priorities. As for “any” athlete benefiting from a sports specific shoe, while that may be true for some it’s how you look and how much you spent that’s important.
  21. @Hammer 4, Now THAT’S what I’m talking about.... kinda surprised no one’s mentioned a good pair of Chuck Taylors ?
  22. @diversity210, I understand what you’re saying and spend $50-$60 tops for a pair of running shoes. I’ve found ASICS, New Balance are lightweight and breathable for standing on the boat during those hot summer days. IMO, big dollar athletic shoes are more for serious athletes who can really benefit from them and the fashion conscious...
  23. With what you were working with @BigBassCatcher, a hemostat would have been a better option to remove the hook(s). IMHO, maybe just go with the belly hook if you’re going to use those siwash type hooks on that lure....
  24. Hello @Jason.Domingo from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. Closest place to the City to fish for Northern strain LMB is Lake Merced. Otherwise, as I’m sure you’re well aware it’s gonna entail some driving....
