  1. I like a Hart Ticker buzzbait. It runs true and has a clacker on it for a little extra noise. And I have alot of confidence in it because it's caught alot of fish for me.
  2. Keep a spinnerbait wet.
  3. I agree with everyone else in fishing deep water structure with a jig or a grub.
  4. I usually use a Zoom trick worm or finesse worm.
  5. I always use a trailer hook.
  6. I agree, I would have no confidence throwing a jig w/o a trailer.
  7. I agree with everyone that said wait until you feel the fish to set the hook. It can be hard to wait sometimes when you get so excited after that big blow up.
  8. I might say downsize and finesse fishing if the water was clear. Since the water is murky try some bigger than average baits and dark colors too. Sometimes I'll start out switching baits alot to see if I can find something they want, but if I can't I'll slow down.
  9. If I wasn't C-riggin it I would slow roll a spinnerbait, jig, drop shot, shaky head, and maybe a senko around some brush. Like Matt said don't let the cover keep you away from some cranks.
  10. For me it usually just feels heavy and sometimes I can fill some nibbles before it gets heavy.
  11. A big dark colorado blade spinnerbait, black jig, and a big wide wobbling crankbait.
  12. What Cajun said and you can also softly twitch it along.
  13. I've read both of Kevin VanDam's books, and they're both great. You can also get some DVDs from BPS.
  14. I rarely use a steady retrieve. All those can work at different times. I usually experiment with alot of retrieves until I figure out what they want. Sometimes they might just not want a spinnerbait though.
  15. I just take a needle and push it out.
  16. I do use senko knock offs, but I don't like the fall of the tiki stiks and haven't had as much luck with them as some others.
  17. I read Bassmaster and Bassin', both great magazines.
  18. My #1 lure around rip rip-rap bridges is a shaky head worm. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits are also good. There are alot of baitfish around bridge rip-rap.
  19. During the post spawn when the fish are scattered; I like to cover alot of water with spinnerbaits. I've also had luck fishing points with a Spook. C-riggin points is good too. And maybe throw a senko in some grass beds.
  20. Try fishing the grass beds with a spinnerbait, rat-l-trap, and senko. A C-rig would probably be good too.
  21. I don't know why, but in rainy and bad weather I just seem to do good on jigs and spinnerbaits alot.
  22. Try to find some off-shore humps with a little vegetation and some stumps and you can find some smallies spawning. I'd try and use some lizards, grubs, and craws.

Numbers of quality 2-3 lbers. and after I catch a limit I don't care about numbers, I want giants.
  24. 1. A big bass killing your topwater. 2. Rain and a little thunder
