Well, I just put together the stuff I took back from Cali. I think we were having too good of a time, I really didn't film too much,lol. What can I say, I had a fantastic time and hit it off just fine with Redlinerobert. He would be a tough one NOT to get along with, he's a stupendous host and a "not so bad" fisherman,lol. I'm looking forward to having he and his g/f Gidget come to New England for some grade "A" seafood and some knock down, drag out bluefishing. I don't think I'm done with Cali just yet though, after fishing the Delta, a place called 4 bays and then the Kelsey bass ranch, the big ones eluded us but I know they are there and just begging to meet me one day,lol. I'm happy to announce that Deb (Niksfishinmom) is the latest member of the CAST gang. She has begun the journy that will change the lives of many deserving children. We are extremely happy to have her on board. We are gathering at Fork this November and hopefully she can make it as it will be a great experience for her to learn some of the things we will be discussing. Mom plans on hosting an event, in her daughter Nikki's name, sometime early next year. I can't wait to visit her hometown and be a part of something that will surely become a highlight of her community. Thanks for jumping in Deb, I promise, you won't regret it and I look forward to working with you.

lol,...let's remember,....I still have 9 Presidents back in RI. I'm a firm believer in the value of those reels but the Steez rod.......my goodness,...... what a treat. :'( This is going to cost me,lol.

Well, as many of you know, I am in Cali this week visiting with Redlinerobert. We went to the Delta last Saturday and I met his friend "Long". Long said to me, whatever you do, don't use Robert's rods. He said he picked one up once and instantly called Robert an jerk for encouraging him to do so and now I know why. Yesterday we fished a private club called the Kelsey Bass Ranch. I made the mistake of grabbing Redline's Steez M/L with a Stella on it. I'll never be the same. Holy crap. I got worried thinking if this super light unit decides to float away, I only weigh 135 lbs and it might carry me up into the stratosphere,lol. Super light, super sensitive and just darn sexy. I had no idea how much stronger a fish feels at that level of sensitivity. It's got backbone too which surprised me. On the way out of the ranch, we stopped at a mini pond near the exit and fished from shore. Every cast was a fish and you have to haul them up and over the brush at the ponds edge. LOTS of it. No problem here, I was thoroughly impressed. NOW I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!!! ROBERT YOU JERK!!! Anyone know a good loan agent?? :

Very similar to Bluefish. I realized ANYTHING that is ripped across the top will get hit the day I was clamming and a school started boiling near my boat and I had a rod (always on boat) but no tackle. A spare spark plug with a treble piched in the gap at the end works.

Ahhhhh,..the Curran Reservoir. I have fished this in years past and found the exact same thing. Beat the bushes, dissect the rocks or go home, the rest is beach sand. I have a few friends that fish there regularly, when I get home I will inquire to see if they have found the same situations or if it's just that you guys forgot how to catch. ;D Seriously though, I know 2 UPS drivers that fished it all the time, I'll ask next week if they still do and, if so, what they have found.

It is,....but in a number of ways. If you are a member here, it's a given,....Our business is to catch some HAWGZ!!

Well, I'm here and man, what a cool place. First and foremost, I can't tell you guys what gracious and high class hosts I have here. Robert and Guille (g/f) have gone above and beyond to make me comfortable. You know when someone says "my home is your home", you always take it as just words but not here. Lots of truly genuine people in Roberts world. I also met his buddy "Long" (that's his name). He's another one that makes you feel like we've been buds for a while. You'll see a bit of him in the final video report but for now, here is a short clip from the night I arrived. A right????????????????? I don't know about you but when I spend a couple of hundred bucks to see a pro football game, I don't want see 22 guys with high moral standards. I don't give a ratz azz about their "personal integrity" I want to see the 22 guys who were able to overcome all the monumental obstacles to EARN that spot. I want to see the best, and I want them to give it their all. If I want morality on a Sunday afternoon there's more than enough preachers I can tune in to. If I remember correctly, these athletes are supposed to be role models also,...no? If I had kids, the last thing I would want them to see is their dad applauding the efforts of a moral-less criminal. Some things are BIGGER than the game.... Anyone want Hitler to babysit? He's always on time and never has friends over. :

lol. CALIFORNIA HERE I COME!!! Leaving in a few hours to go visit Redlinerobert and meet me a few of those Cali hawgs with a little (lotta) luck. So far, I know I'll be fishing Clear Lake and the Delta. Hoping to meet up with FishChris the beginning of next week. I know Robert and I are both in need of a break, time to unwind a bit.
