  1. Here's Matt yesterday morning sporting his new rod, new jig and new confidence. Way to go Matt and nice job passing on the lesson to Rick. Looking forward to seeing where this all takes you this summer
  2. Cooooool. Dominion- let yourself run wild, hooks, bass, etc, all good. The logo is more for the clothing than the electronic device.
  3. A broker? Talk about putting the cart before the horse! lol Let's see if I make next weeks rent first, lmao.
  4. The whole patent process began when I got the idea back in 2000. By 2002, I had paid for the patent search and submission processes (appx 2k) This was the expensive part. To actually pay for the patent once it is approved is minimal. Hiring a lawyer to do a thorough search is the big part. The actual Patent fees aren't too bad. Roughly 3k invested all together. The big expense in this game is lawyers. Enforcing your patent. Having one is great but lets say someone steals mine, a big company. They often know that the "little guy" who is the one with the good ideas most often, would not be able to afford to be tied up in court prosecuting the infringing entity. They COUNT on this as they rob you. I am well protected but nothing is a sure thing till the $ is in the bank. There is also another place where big $$ comes into play even before protecting your patent and this is where I previously fell short. Getting your invention MADE. Product development companies are not cheap.
  5. Hooking ain't all it's cracked up to be though. Once your looks start to go...... ;D
  6. I dowmloaded a few fonts and want to import them into "Word" When I open them, they are a zip file, how do I get them into WORD? Where do I extract them to? Thanks
  7. Thanks for your service folks. Well,.....we know Muddy_man wasn't in the navy...to him "port" is a wine. ;D But I wonder if lLake Fork would have been even funnier ................"The harder and harder I push,...the starboarder and starboarder I go"
  8. ok, I guess I had a few of my facts wrong. I got my info from a quick phone call. It was a father and son, not uncle and nephew. No PFD'S NEWS LINK
  9. So it's not just me,lol....thought I needed to start working out again :
  10. I have an 18v DeWalt. LOVE it!! It replaced a 12v Ryobi,....power is everything, especially if you plan on doing decking. IMHO,....gotchya skillet, lol
  11. Pain- I know you are in NH, have you heard anything about this on the news or anything? Happened yesterday.
  12. We thought about looking into an Adv. agency but figured we would see what we could come up with first. Plus, who knows what looks "fishy" better than the BassResource member base?
  13. I just got a call from my fishing partner Eric. His wife has relatives in NH. Her uncle and nephew went out in the canoe yesterday to try and find a few bass. They capsized their canoe and have both passed away. An autopsy is being done on the uncle to see if a heart attack was the main reason for them not being able to recover and get to shore I don't have many details, assuming there were no PFD's involved. Please everyone, let's not have these 2 people die in vain. Let this be a wake up call to all of us. PFD's save lives. I know I don't wear mine enough. I will now. RIP fellow anglers.
  14. wow, big bird! I bet that birdie is wishin' you went fishin',lol
  15. well folks, looks like redlinerobert and myself are about to embark on a partnership aimed at delivering a few key products to the fishing industry. The name of our company is FISHOUS (trademarked) Without divulging too many details too soon, there are 2 aspects of the company and they are very different from each other. One is a clothing line that will surely blow your mind, incorporating Roberts tastes and my ingenuity (the LBH line will also be offered but will not be the "main" focus of the apparel portion of the biz). The other is the development and distribution of a handheld electronic device I designed and own the patent on. So,...we need a logo. Keep in mind that the logo will be on clothing. I have an idea of what I want and Zel has been working away on that for me so I thought we could also put the word out to you folks and get some other ideas. Any suggestions? Let's see what you guys can come up with. (again, logo will be embroidered so "detail" should be kept to a minimum or just not too intricate) Thanks in advance for all submissions.
  16. I love teaching. Helping someone finally hook up with a certain style bait they were having trouble with or a certain type of presentation can be gratifying when they leave the lake with a confidence they never had. This especially applies to kids. Turning someone on to the sport for the first time is great. You can tell when someone is truly "bitten" by the bug and you know you just instilled in that person the love for something as gratifying as fishing.
  17. sure has been my friend more than once, lol
  18. You need to have them hosted on a server. I upload mine to my friends.
  19. Mingo fishtrap. Hands down.
  20. I love the way the hooks curl back in on themselves, good luck getting them embedded in a fish, lmao. (oops, sorry, forgot these were designed to hang on a xmas tree, not a fish, lol)
  21. She can't drive? lol
