  1. Awesome unabasser, a new PB and the wifes season opener,....let the games begin!
  2. Way to go Burley. When dealing with WM, You need to call ahead for an appointment (made through the store manager) with the "community director". This is the route we take with CAST for kids. Also, Call early (Jan) as they make their budget early and only have "X" amount to dish out. Be the 1st in line. We'll, 2nd, behind me,lol Also, Invite the Jr team to come help the other kids. It's a perfect fit. Kids teaching kids. Kudos to your club.
  3. They certainly do have their similarities, short, bulky, very healthy looking.
  4. Did you find out the whole story yet?
  5. Either or. I certainly can cast them much further w/ spinning but both work just fine. Senko77 had a BPS finesse b/c'r that threw them pretty well too if I remember correctly.
  6. Wow, those are some stout looking Bass!!! Beautiful country too. I had the honor of skiing Zermatt back in 1990, breathtaking.
  7. If you want them to be as rip-able as a yamamoto, use the thicker grain salt like they do (Because they SO appreciate your $$). Same amount as many of the others but by using the thick grain, they will rip much easier, lol. As for softness for wacky, don't go too soft, senko77 brought some of his hand pours up last year and he had some ultra softs. when wacky rigged, the tips just flail up and actually touch on the drop,...no good. SOME rigidity is needed to make that killer wiggle.
  8. Look into drift anchors!!! They save the day in the spring. For cheap $$ ($30 or so), all your problems with wind will be resolved. Since I got my 2nd one ( 2 different sizes now, depending on how strong the wind is), I can even fish soft plastics in 20-25 mph winds out of a jon boat.
  9. (Use an old waverunnerIII engine and jet assembly ) Cheap, light and designed to work together
  10. I think I've spent more time standing ON the seat, lol. Spawn is still rolling up here and sight fishing the last few weeks has been a blast. Standing on the seat gives me that extra view (Yes Fluke, by standing on the seat I'm the same height as everyone else now ;D )
  11. NICE FISH!! A. She needs a rod of her own B. Sign her up!!
  12. !. Welcome Aboard 2. Suggestion- Don't get caught, trespassing is illegal and you won't find many here that will encourage you to pursue this, there are plenty of legal places to fish. 3. As to Bass behavior, they absolutely feed at night and from top to bottom, that's where trial and error are going to be the plan till you figure what they want, that particular night
  13. after looking more, I think the enforcer G3 and G4 are the same tube, new name These things are "morsels" Come thru anything w/ finesse.
  14. 28 for me, 31 for Dirk,.........blessed be the chart.
  15. It's nice to have friends that have your back too.

I think you made the right call and set the right example for your daughter. Your personality traits and qualities are what she is going to look for in a "man" later on in life soooo.....well done. Tough one to swallow, but well done.
  17. Anyone know where to get any? If not, how about suggestions for the "slenderest" tube you know. Thanks
  18. That ain't right,.... :'(
  19. Alarm is set for 3:30 this time, still raining, I'm a believer now though. When I wake up, I'll go to the chart, apply all the variables and make my decision then, I'll let you know how it goes again.
  20. Nah, there won't be a flame, the Tierra is too new to have a following. I've owned stradic's and think they are great reels too. I would buy another Tierra first but that's just my opinion. We haven't had it in the salt water yet. Due time will tell how it holds up there. I'll pull this thread back up when it goes for a dunk. We are fishing stripers tomorrow but they are very finicky this time of yr. Flies are best so that will be the protocol.
