So cool,...I was deep in South County, RI and made my way into 535 spring st. This is always a cool stop because the people own 1700 acres and it's a pine forest about 1/4 mile in all along the driveway. Really cool looking when you drive in. Anyway, I got out of the truck (UPS driver) and was walking to the front door when over near the lama pen, I saw this huge friggin' buck. Or is it a unicorn (rubbing eyes) what the........ I calmly walked back to my truck and got the camera, thinking this thing was gonna bolt any second but when I got my camera and looked back, it had actually run over towards the back of the house (closer to me) where the backyard (fenced in grass) is. I clicked about 8 shots as he walked along the back of the fence before he dashed back towards the woods and was gone. An Albino buck,....and a huge one! How cool is that?

Same here, electric only. Seems no matter which brand is on my boat, I won't get more than 2 yrs out of it. variable speed switches are my main issue. I weent thru 3 of them on 2 different motors this summer (MK endura 55's) Both are new motors as of this spring but even after 1 season, they won't last all next year. It's not a brand thing tho, I break everything. I have also blown apart the MG 47 lbrs I used to have. It's not them, It's me.

If I could make a map that I would use, it would just show boat lanes. Like I said, on the map, and in person, every inch looks perfect. Will take a little time in the area to learn a bite. Doesn't hurt to have super detailed maps but often it's a matter of temps in certain coves, depending on where they face (E,W,N,S) AND WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE INCOMING WATER IN THEM.

We use these on Bluefish in Narragansett Bay, you've got to be kidding me. Sounds like an opinion to me, not a fact. My opinion differs from yours on this one, this is why I asked for facts. My point is, for $59, they are both great reels. I don't see the purpose for someone to bash a decent product simply because they favor an alternate quality product. You're attack on the president is based on opinion, not fact. Things like ratios, capacities, types of bearings and how many, etc, you don't have a leg to stand on. Doesn't matter though, they are both good reels. Now, to make an argument on your side, if the president lacks anywhere it is in the fact that people like Reelmech can't work on them. They all have to go to parent company to be fixed. When mine are ready to retire, I will be switching to another brand but for this reason only.

Biggest question between a 12 and 14 is how will you be launching it? A 12 can be handled alone w/ no ramp. THIS IS MINE

I have been a shimano guy for years but in that price range, I'll take the president. Matter of fact, I took 13 of them,lol. Only had 1 fail in 2.5 yrs now and that was because of me. I broke the free spool switch. Anyone who has seen my videos, I abuse everything and the Presidents are still running strong. I had very few Lower end Shimano's hold up like that, 2 yrs MAX. If I were to opt and go to the next price class up, It would be a shimano, but for a $60 reel,....

You are more than welcome to post it but it will take a bit of resourcing. 1st, load it on computer and then load it into windows movie maker. "Save to computer" and then that file needs to be hosted by someone with a server.

Cart- In your opininion, why do you think all that damage happened? are those covered docks just not made to hold snow/ice essentially? If this has happened before, wouldn't they rebuild using thicker poles,etc?

Because this section is an area where you can give your resume a dry run. Criticism is expected and most often appreciated. The reason it's not done through PM's is because noone else would learn from it except that one person. This is the whole idea of this section. I see where you are coming from, you're not being a jerk in saying this, totally understandable and hopefully this explanation helps.

I'm sure there must be a decent site out there that will give you a checklist with solutions. Have you ever seen the show "It takes a thief"? They have 2 ex burglars break into your house and trash it, just to show how vulnerable you are. Then they come back and return your stuff and explain what needs to be done to protect yourself. The show pays to upgrade your house and then they come back unscheduled and try and break in again in the near future to see how well you did. Great show. I don't even lock my doors,lol. I have a $10k audio system in my car and even that is unlocked as we speak. I'm the worst, too trusting, but I never been robbed either. Good luck in making moms place a little safer.

I'm in RI and also bought my last new boat out of NY but many people around here shoot up to NH to take advantage of the zero sales tax.
