AnyOne Ice fish in here? check out the pics
MAdhouse- does the Millinocket stretch down into Mass? I think I saw a show on Fishing New England about ice fishing for Pike in Mass and I think it was on that river.

BR.com challenges Charlie Moore- 6/7 update
I couldn't help but send another email after hearing Charlie spew all morning about "all you gotta do is go the web site and challenge me,...don't be posting junk on the internet about how you can whoop me, just go challenge me if you think you've got it"....oh man..... this is the email I politely sent. Hi, I submitted a challenge on behalf of the CAST for kids foundation and BassResource.com and I recieved a reply stating that it had been forwarded to ESPN and to let you know if we don't hear from them soon. That was Nov 13 or 14th and we havn't heard anything yet. We have a video form of the challenge ready but need to know where to send it. We could also host it online to view if you'd like. We have almost 4000 members that have been following this anxiously on the BassResource.com forum boards. I have recently spoken with Clay Dyer whom ESPN did a special on and he is also willing to participate at what ever level he is capable, schedule permitting. Looking forward to your reply, Russ Thetonia Don't get me wrong, if we don't fit the shows format or whatever, that's fine, but a little follow up would be really appreciated. I mean even a simple "no thanks", but for all I know, they (ESPN) doesn't even know we exist.

AnyOne Ice fish in here? check out the pics
Camo, those are some awesome pics of your boy! Classics he'll have forever. Chevy- Being that skinny (I'm the same way),...I don't think I would stand too close to those perch. They look like they could swallow just about anything! Holy cows! We are in a bad way here, the ice is solid but not thick enough. Double-whammy. I wanted to give the ice a shot this year but have been totally shut out by non-consistent weather. Anyone up in Mass,NH,VT,Me,...wanna hook me up? Just say when and where and you'll have company

OK, I am bummed out
Well, we got to fish right up till nov. 21st this year which is pretty darn good for RI. Since then I've put 2 psychologists, 1 psycho-therapist and a lawyer on retainer,...ya know, "just in case I crack" lol Seriously though, we have been doing tons of research for the Lake Fork trip and buying up a heavy arsenal of plastics for next year. I'm slowly buying the stuff I use in bulk. I bought over 500 senkos so far from *** seeing as how many of the people I take seem to be able to plow thru my supply rather quickly. It will be nice to not have to run to Dicks before each trip next year. Jig boxes are looking very nice with the intro of terminators new color "skeet's secret". Still havn't touched my reels yet, contemplating what to re-spool with for Fork as the fishing there is drasticaly different than what we do here. So far it looks like 24lb fusion with a 10 ft vanish 20# leader for the beds and still not sure what to use for chuckin'. This post just reminded me to go flip the battery maintenence switch downstairs. Kepping the T/M batt's nice and toasty. Unfortunately I have been super busy through the holidays which helped keep my mind off fishing but also made it so I've had to slack off on the forum. I'm back now, and will be starting 2 projects for Glenn today that I have been putting off for too long now. A special thanks to the other mods for carrying me through the holidays. With the new board, there also came lots of "post-moving" and re-organizing that both Chris and Roadwarrior did on their own. Lots of work there that I just didn't have the time to be a part of, thanks guys.

In-Fisherman Customer Service
Well being from New England, I only get The Yankee journal. Us Yankee's up here have to be a bit harder I guess, dealing with the winter and the elements makes us tougher though so I'm proud to be a yankee and will continue reading the local yankee reports from the same old yankee fishermen. Then as a true yankee and in true yankee form, we will go to Texas and show ya'll how yankee ingenuity can outsmart redneck bass. In short, if I need general fishing info, this site is my magazine. If I need local, yankee info, I'll check with "the fisherman", a local yankee periodical, written by yankees and distributed by yankees. Proud to be a hard core fishin' yankee. P.S. red sox fan here. don't get confused.

Forgetting to put in the plug?
Many saltwater boats have those. Scuppers. They are for above deck water however. There is also one with a ping pong ball in a plastic cup, same principle, water goes out but can't come in.

Red Lips??
Aug 13th Temps here in RI are around 80-90 in August.
-
Red Lips??
I'll be sure to pull this back up this summer. We get them during all months with the perty lips. If I pump up the temp on my fish tank, my Oscar thinks it's spawn time and digs a nice nest. This gives my fish the same red lips but only the bottom one. He uses mouth like a shovel. When we were catching them later in the year like that, we ruled out the spawn theory. I firmly believe it's somthing in their diet at the time but it can't be shad because there are none in my lake. Raul---dig out the med books.....what's up w/ this?

Forgetting to put in the plug?
-you can jump in -you can learn from your lesson and not forget it again. -You can print the pre-boat checklist found under "fishing articles" if you don't trust yourself. I agree Glenn, you would have thought they would have a system like that by now.

Attention AOL users & Newsletter Subscribers
I also called, even though I don't use AOL, I think maybe the members could pound them with messages. Waste of their time? I think they've wasted enough of Glenns.

Match Fishing TV show
Man, I wish we had that here. I've never seen it.
-
Red Lips??
We catch 'em like that all the time. Definately not a winter thing because I don't ice fish! lol Lake has a strong crayfish/bluegill forage base. No shad.

2006 Fishing Resolutions
I'm going to let my partner (Dirk Jig_Lure) catch more this year! Sorry man (eric), I had to do it ,lol, it was a wide open shot. But for real, I will be changing my game plan this year to include the advice a certain mod here provides. I listened last year and it proved to be very productive. THe "Book according to Chris" will be my main consult. I had great success each time I summoned Chris' knbowledge. His experience is one thing but he offers a west coast viewpoint that seems to work well here in New England also. Nothing but positive results each time he offered advice. I strongly suggest reading his seasonal articles and posts. I've also noticed that a few of our newer members are also chock full of advice. This place gets better by the day. My resolution is to use the heck out of you guys, lol! Catch 'em up and success to all for '06!

Anybody going around picking up Christmas trees?
We got lucky this year. They built another house on the lake and the new residents ended up doing some clearing of their own, dopwn by the waters edge. I asked permission to help them get rid of the wood. Lots of oak and pine. I added a bunch to the lake so I think I'll lay off the xmas trees this year. We have 2 main piles of trees (xmas) in the lake. When we add more, we add them to the same area, just increasing the size of both piles. THey both produced fish from the get-go. Literally holding fish by the time the ice was out.

decking a boat
I would use 5200 in the holes, it's a sealant AND adhesive.

decking a boat
I would use the tackle lockers that hold 4 boxes, same company makes one that's just an empty box too (for clothes, etc.) like this: http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21276&id=0001527011144a&navCount=1&podId=0001527&parentId=cat21314&navAction=push&catalogCode=IF&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21314&hasJS=true
