Every use satelite photos of your lake?
State of RI fish & wildlife made a book of 60 lakes with topo, lake description, species, maintenance, access, etc. Awesome resource, they are hard to find now. My topo is a little outdated but we redid it on photoshop to show exactly what's where and then some.

conflicting message-Fall coves
well, water temps on main lake are about 62 deg. Pads are long since dead,..been raining for 4 days with 3 more coming so there just might be a small trickle again, should I get in there? I just ask because it's a time consuming venture and w/temps dropping, time is limited.

conflicting message-Fall coves
I'm confused about the talk of fish moving to the backs of coves in the fall. I know most of the comments state that it's the coves with water entering in the rear that are best but I see a conflict with the dying lily pads. I know the lily pads dying give off co2 which is a big fish turn-off. How can these coves also be the ones everyone is talking about? Is there a point where they are done dying and the 02 levels rise again? And what about if the cove doesn't have water entering. The main cove we fish during ice out is the cove I would assume would be great for fall. 4 ft deep with just a trickle of water entering way in the back where a boat can't even get (1.2 ft deep) . THis trickle doesn't even exist most of the season once things dry up and water levels drop. This cove gets choked in the summer but again, deadly in early spring. Is this where I should be? Do I need to wait till pads are done dying?

What happens now?
sure would. We fished fri night and sat night, just got in actually and the reeds are starting to show some smaller feeding fish as the water level rises. Flukes were the easy choice here. The better fish were still taken deeper on jigs and dingers. Temps were: 71 fri (7pm) 67 sat (3 am) 64 last night. curious what tonights will be. Love the rain, fish on!

UGHHHH!!!!!!
And that's not somthing to shake a stick at. Coming from a full-time working adult, this sport will come in very handy as you grow up. It's a sanity balancer, stress reliever, place to think and place to share time with best friends, fathers and little brothers. If tackle is the main issue, I have full faith that Ryan (senko77) will "hook" you up. If you he can't supply you with what you will be lacking, PM me.

Super Clear water, where are the big ones?
Sounds like just plain over-pressured fishing. Have you seen or heard of anything other than dinks coming out of there?

Trailer Spare Tire
I have 2 trailers that take the same wheel. Money was a bit short this summer so I used the spare for both trailers. On trailer #1, the spare is mounted on an "L" bracket like yours. However, I removed it from the trailer and left it in the car this year so I would have it no matter which boat I was towing. I used the spare once, 2 yrs ago, prevented me from having to leave everything curbside, you're wife is dead on, good call. She's a keeper, lol.

Stuck in the Rockbass
Welcome to BR! I agree with Marty. Living plants expel oxygen making them great places for bass to wait in ambush but dying weeds do the opposite and expel co2. Long before the levels of co2 outweight the oxygen, the bass take off. General rule is when close to 1/2 the weedgrowth is dead, move on. Plus you'll be able to tell when places that were recently producing, even if just smaller fish, have become desolate. I can tell within 15 casts or so if the place has had a recent bass evacuation. I would throw a jig in there also, get past the dinks quicker. Being known as a larger fish bait, the jig should also get through the foil a bit better than let's say, somthing with trebles. Good luck.

Windy conditions
When dealing with wind, I find it is better to stick with the confidence baits and fish just like you always would with the emphasis on boat control.

Any advice on starting a new club
I fish in a "league" that we call "the clearwater challenge". We are primarily made up of people who became uninterested in the politics associated with club fishing. Some guys are retired club fisherman who may not want to fish a whole scheduled season, etc but anyway, this is hop it works. The organizer (Bill) has a list of 17 , 2man teams. He makes the call on wed night to each team captain and announces the time , price and place for saturday morning. Entry is never less than $100/person and never more than $250. $200 is taken off the top of the pot for the bbq or breakfast after weigh in. The rest is divided for $200 big bass, and 1-4 place payouts. Now 34 guys x 250 minus bbq and big bass, leaves one heck of a payout. Here's the catch. It's alot like this forum and it's creator. This is Bills game, and Bill makes the rules. These guys, regardless of the money, are here for the comeraderie, the great fishing, and for recreation. Many guys are retired and they see it as a day on the golf course or a friendly fishing tournament, either way, they are going to spend the $150 for the day and don't care if it's here or at the casino as long as they have a good time. There are no fights, quarrels etc. What Bill says goes and if that's a problem, you're not invited back. Real simple. This was our 2nd year and not one incident in both seasons. Great guys, great times, and opportunities to fish other new england lakes and even make some money. The clearwater part is because Bill only pics high quality, clear water impoundments.

Trailer Wiring
I would certainly start with the ground. Sounds like it is not grounded.
