Don't me mistaken,....a 5 lb bass will suck up a 12" bait like it's a yodel. In randall's case (small baits/big fish) I think it is more the fact that he knows where they are,....that's the hard part,...not which bait to catch them with

Went to Guntersville for a CAST event this yr,....fried friggin pickles. I'll try just about anything,...those......... were disgusting.

It won't do me any good at home all safe and sound, tucked in a velvet case under the bed right? Seriously, I have gotten lots of good times out of that rod in the year and a half I have owned it. This particular one weighs 2 3/8 oz on my kitchen food scale. The rod is a 20 lb class jigging rod (saltwater. Ton of beef in the base, top is very soft.) Not the best use for it but it's getting the job done, low budget, till I'm set up better. This rod was a gift from Muddy's girlfriend Elaine about a year ago. Everything happens for a reason, it has saved the day after breaking the 2 other rods I had that were capable of throwing these. Funny how I pick it up, and Muddy comes back. Y'all believe in a higher power?

I hear you. I grew up on the ocean. fishing it since I was a kid and you're right, saltwater, can be VERY predictable. I guess I just naturally carried that way of thinking over to my freshwater side. Call it whatever you want, I"M EXCITED to get out there this weekend

Sorry, but people absolutley destroy the organization you create and goes against pretty much everything you were for (grass roots average Joe) and youdon't have anything to say? Money conquers all. What's to say other than "SOLD". Think about it, if you sell me your car and I trash it,......my loss. How would I look if I came out in public and said "Tin ruined my car, he can't drive, doesn't care, etc" I'd look like a tool. Every word of this reply is GOSPEL!! can I get an AMEN? Matt just described the learning aspect of these things and I think this is what is very attractive. I already recognize the water and window theory SO MUCH but didn't realize it till Matt just spoke it. THIS IS PART OF WHY THIS IS SO EXCITING!! Every trip fills in a number in the equation,...making the math easier vthe next time around. Maybe not easier, but the confidence is boosted. Even on a skunk day,...you learn what doesn't work,...another number,...... I actually have a good assortment of Matt's baits here now. I plan to use them when I get to that level. I am DEAD serious. I looking at fishing as more than just catching. I look at the total experience. If the day comes that I can not find any joy of seeing a sunrise, being in the beautiful outdoors, seeing dozens of animals, spending time with my family and/or friends, and catching my little scalely friends, I think that I have lost most of what life has to offer and there is little else. It used feel like this for me as well. Hoping that dropping out of the Club scene will bring back that peaceful feelling. It will,....starting at midnight tomorrow,....full moon........Bring the big rods ROGUE!!! WASSUP BUDDY??!!!!
