  5. Yup, you guessed it, tripped on something, don't even know what and sent the spidershaft/revo stx combo overboard, lol. Made it to the bottom in twelve feet (alot deeper than you think! ), just as I reached it,...tip broken, reel saved
  6. so I took the time to make a video about how to set up the boat when you are fishing at night, how keeping it neat and clean helps avoid accidents....... : Nighttime set-up video
  7. Hey folks, check back to the original post for a photo timeline
  8. North Face Gore-Tex clothing is the only thing I add to the equation in rain. Other than that, it's fishing as normal.
  9. I like how "NorthEast" is the first choice,.....the way it should be.
  10. A very cool read, thanks Frog!!
  11. Kind of flattering boss,....I never knew you had an LBH side to you ;D If a peanut hitch is for up to 150#, I wouldn't go much over 70-80# direct to the bumper. a 12' jon is only about 30lbs tongue weight though. what size boat were you thinking of pulling with it.
  12. I like your plan. Lately, we have been on the water by 3 and it's slow,....but it gets better Don't be discouraged as soon as you get out there either, be ready to give it a little time to kick. Also, it takes a little bit for your eyes to adjust, and your hearing to peak. Settle in and get a groove going. Definitely hit the areas you find them in during the day, the deeper, the better, My favorite depth is when the bait lands in 5-7' and gets worked out to 20-25 ft. When you see a common depth the hits are coming from, attack that slope from a parallel point now, targeting only that depth. Good luck and welcome,.......... ........................to the Dark Side 8-)
  13. Excellent. Thanks to all
  14. 41, Aug 7th WOOHOO!!! Most people get bummed with their age around 40,...personally, I never thought I would make it this long so......celebrations are in order, lol.

  16. I live 100+ miles from you but if you want a real partner, next yrs spawn, I'll meet you, in your driveway, at 3. (gives us a little time to explore a topwater bite before sight fishing) I'll have the coffees too, one less stop

  19. Welcome Aboard mike!!
  20. Welcome aboard and thanks for your support.
  21. No worries, at the rate they are cutting the youth initiatives, there will be no BASS Jrs. This seems to be ESPN's plan.
  22. Good Luck with it Fish.
  23. Been there, thought that, lol I was thinking along the conservation lines. If the state dept of wildlife/fisheries offered a packet for field stats (hair sample, measurements, teeth photo. etc) for the tranq'd deer, then folks with no desire to kill the animal could still get the "stalk" part of the hunt and bring back info for the state. Maybe there's just no need for that info,....there are too many deer and that's all they need to know.
