  1. You guys are close,lol. It's in the FAQ's
  2. In short,....Direct connect. I use it with the few people I talk with every day, my fishing partner and my management team at work. Saves me a TON of minutes. I asked previously if any other companies offer this,.....I'm open to suggestions.
  3. Thank you gentlemen.
  4. I like that. I'll use this theory in the saltwater this yr when the big fat stripers are hunkered down below the boiling schoolies. Can't hurt to try, thanks Scott. And WELCOME ABOARD Kentucky!!
  5. another RW,lol......Welcome Aboard
  6. Sorry, but you guys answer these better than the customer service folks, lol. Quicker too I ordered a Motorola i355. I just love these versions of cell phones, call me crazy, it's huge,......but VERY durable. anyway, I had an i305. When the new one comes, can I simply remove the SIM card and put it in the new one?
  7. And that's only IF they moved. It's only rough to you The problem here is that sight fishing is out the window with that kind of wind. We are dealing with a windy spawn also (more like 15-18mph but....) and we are basically blind casting in the spawning areas, hoping to get lucky. Funny thing is, we are finding lots of fish like this. Almost like wiping the slate clean. Forcing it clean for that matter. Good luck, stay on 'em
  8. Guys, thanks for the help but it's the phone, not the technology. It's just "done". I've owned it for 5 yrs, it's flown out of the UPS truck repeatedly and survived downpouring rain on the boat. It served me well,....time for another. Fortunately, they offer the same phone but with a color screen now. Seriously, after what I've done to this unit, it should have died 3 yrs ago. I will have no problem forking the cash for another one of these, although bulky, I HIGHLY recommend these for people who torture their stuff. As for coverage, I work in the boonies of our state and I've had most of the services and this one has more coverage than any other I've tried. It may have changed now, 5 yrs later, but I save a ton using direct connect with my bosses and fishing partner so I think I need to stick with them. Do other companies offer direct connect now? If so, does it work with other companies? Like If I had t-mobile direct connect, could I call a nextel radio with it?
  9. Congrats! Wait a minute,.....I know that shoreline....... ;D
  10. Well Done!! (to both of you )
  11. You couoldn't give me AT&T for free after the issues I had with those clowns. Well, I got cust service and they informed me to do a "master restart" from the connectivity menu. I did and now it says "no signal". Still won't make or accept calls. I have Erics spare now so anyone trying to reach me can do so today. but I'd still like to get my phone figured out so if you could ask today Jake, that would be great. Thanks everyone!
  12. At UPS, we train you to create a "decision point" when encountering a stale green light. You are committed to either slowing or maintaining current speed. It usually favors towards slowing 95% of the time and eventually, you naturally, (through forced habit) don't have to make those decisions anymore, you naturally favor the safer option and find yourself slowing earlier if anything.
  13. Thanks, I was hoping you would see this. I bet you're glad you don't work f or Nextel/Sprint, eh? You'd have a broken toe from kicking the server so often, lol.
  14. Try reading the thread! ;D CFFF- nope, no luck.
  15. Woke up this morning and the screen on my cell phone looked like this It usually says "NEXTEL" where it says "Ready". I have no service, but plenty of bars. When I make a call, it says "call failed, try again later" I'm all paid up too. Any clue what's going on here?
  16. Awesome, CONGRATS!! My mom was also an operator for Ma Bell. It was cool, because the Telecom Pioneers (retired telephone people) are a major volunteer group at our CAST events and a few of the volunteers knew my mom but hadn't seen her in 30 yrs. Very cool. Is she planning to volunteer with the Pioneers by any chance?
  17. I'm sure there are more criteria but we've been asked to test and evaluate certain products. Our opinions are always asked, what the boss does with the input is up to him but as a group, we are more often unanimous on most topics. We are a pretty varied bunch too, a great sample demographic.
  18. You guys need to understand, this is SE Mass, as in,...right over the border (to the NORTH no less) of RI and OUR state record is 10.6. Just to put this into perspective
  19. Set your drag If still happening, change line.
  20. Live it up buddy and welcome back to real soil. Enjoy yourself
  21. I don't know if I speak for everyone but I know I certainly speak for the majority when I say that you have NO NEED to explain how you do what you do. We all know this board is driven by your passion for fishing and not the almighty buck,.....that's why it has become what it is. The proof is in the pudding, just keep on doing what you do.
