Looking to do this...
I highly recommend a zip off, nylon based lightweight pant. Something made of Supplex or Paramount. I use THESE exclusively. One thing about zip offs, make sure you TRY them first. Some zippers are difficult to operate, some get caught in the protective flap, etc. Also, make sure they have LABELED zippers like these North Face ones,....makes things a lot quicker. Ultra fast drying and VERY versatile as a pant or on demand, a short.

Lunkerville has been picked up by the WFN (World Fishing Network), this will be national coverage and will also be in the 1st set of Lunkerville shows shot in High definition!! We'll be sure to let everyone know the air times and dates. I think the show will air on rotation also so you'll have a few chances to see it.

It's Memorial Day!
It's not just about the cookout or the long weekend though, let us bow our heads for a moment to remember all those fallen HEROS who died for our freedoms. This is a day to remember all those who gave the ULTIMATE sacrifice and to also recognize the families who consequently had to endure without them. Let's also take a moment to keep our current troops in our thoughts as well. God Bless and Godspeed on your return. Thanks to ALL who serve to protect the values we hold so precious and GOD BLESS AMERICA

Stafford Pond Tiverton, RI
If you EVER need big red (no gas motor on her), you are MORE THAN WELCOME to her. I really appreciate your offer to help this weekend, and we are complete strangers,....it's a RI thing Seriously, if you ever need another boat, just holler and it's yours. Good luck at Stafford guys

I think it's time for me to get a dog.
couple things. labs do shed quite a bit,....all those Armani suits won't look so nice in those hairs. I'm with Matt and Biz, the right American bull or Stafford terrier seems to be a great fit for you. One thing about the smaller hyper dogs like the Jacks is that they want a lot of attention, you need to remember that you need a pretty independent dog as it will spend a decent amount of time on it's own (no kids to occupy it while you're at work, etc) Your house is always flawlessly spotless,....you sure you wanna do this? That wouldn't matter to me personally, as long as I had the room (which I don't right now), I would totally own a dog, but you own a lot of nice stuff to chew on......... Good luck with the decision, another family member is never a bad thing.

Awww schucks,lol....the pleasure was all mine! I had a great day, learned a bit about production too. You never know how the day will be when you are planning 8 hrs in a 12 ft jon boat with 2 strangers (another aspect of "guiding" that folks tend to overlook), but I would share my boat with these guys ANY DAY! It was like fishing with my every day buds. (a true testament to the concept of the show) Like Mike said, the bite was VERY tough, bluebird and post spawn, but the lake did spit out enough for the crew to see what she can offer,.......I think they'll be back Seriously, it was a pleasure, hopefully you guys will be out of bed before breakfast service is over and you can let me treat you to a good full belly before you go. I brought lunch (sirloin tips, grilled chicken, pasta salad, watermelon, etc ) and you got dinner (one of EVRYTHING please, lol) so it's my turn again.......unless you want to go back out on the lake. (?) :-? C'mon,...you know you wanna........everybody is doing it.....c'mon,.....pull the trigger,...say the word..........

The Lunkerville crew is on their way here from NY as we speak, filming today at Lake X. Please forward me any karma or mojo that you don't plan on using this weekend please!!!! lol I really want to put these guys on fish,...so far, all looks good, we could use a little less wind so aim your thoughts at that. Thanks guys, I'll do my best to represent you all with everything I got. Lots of fish,...even more laughs and safe travels for the crew,...those are the goals today.

Stretching line with Tin!
Any openings mid week Paul? ps- those camera shots, the action stills,...speed up the aperture on your camera and those stills will be much crisper and the flying water droplets will even come out clear. You've obviously figured out how to capture them with a hook,....maybe we can trade tricks, lol, you catch them on the hook and I'll catch them with the camera,.....I smell some sick footage in the future,....with a few new hairy guest stars,....(not you Tin,...the dogs, lol) and Tin,...you've yet to bless MY boat this yr,...when is school done?

Well Im off
Have a great time, remember your manners (you're the man of the crew, open doors, carry bags) and BE SAFE

Avid vs. Carrot
I used a legend last yr? 2 yrs ago? It was a fantastic rod, I was impressed with the feel, wasn't much of a looker though. (no biggee) I used a few different carrots last yr and this winter in Cali and although I liked the avid, it didn't leave any where near the impression the c-stick did....but again,....we come to "looks". Although I enjoyed the performance of the rod more than the avid (more memorable anyway) the c-stick is FAR uglier. What is the price difference?

Stretching line with Tin!
You gotta stop going there, there's only so much space on the server, lol. ;D

Decking a 10' Jon
I'm 135 lbs , no big guy by any means,...extremely agile with phenomenal balance. (retired pro freestyle skier) I won't go out on a decked 10. I value my gear too much, even if it is all Low Budget.

FINISHED JON BOAT! PICS!
looks good 1 suggestion-finished edges Finished edges make all the difference in the world when it comes to the "look" of how something is done. also, I would HIGHLY suggest removing the carpet from the middle floor section of carpet and decking that area. It keeps everything off of a wet floor. The deck allows anchor drippings, etc to site BELOW your gear. Take a look at this one and you'll see what I mean. This will eliminate the lack of quite a few finished edges too, like the ones running up the gunnels. She'll boat you a ton of fish, I'm sure,.....Welcome to the Little boat, BIG FISH Club!

LIFE IS GOOD and GOT BETTER!!!!
Couple questions. How is the boat with the high pedestals? (If tippy, they come in 9", more than enough legroom) How are those BLUE JEANS feeling? 50 lbs is a big deal, are many of the guys in your unit in the same boat or is this something you attained to do? When do you have to go back and for how long? Give everyone in your unit a big thumbs up from the BR crew please, let them know we are behind you and wishing all a safe return.

Self Inflating PFD saved our butts today.
GREAT!!!!!!! I can honestly say that if we had not been wearing them we most likely would not have made it. Were you running full bore or something? Where did the boat end up and why didn't you guys swim to it, was shore closer? Glad you guys are ok

I may have caught a world record snapper

Video of Briggs and Stratton 5 hp on water pushing 14 ft jon boat
Holy loud. I would rather have the merc 6 I think but I bet the Briggs is much, much cheaper. I had a merc 6 on my 14 jon, moved it great, even used it in the salt, lol. Quite like a kitty too.

Decking a 10' Jon
Can you? Yes SHOULD you? Absolutely not (and that's from a guy who only weighs 135 lbs, lol) The 10's are an ice skate as it is. I say keep it bare. My .02
