RH vs. LH
Can you explain this part??? My reel NEVER leaves my right hand. I also cast 2 handed. My right hand stays right where it is, thumb on the spool, reel in palm, fingers wrapped below.

RH vs. LH
As long as you realize that it is a method of "compensation". You are compensating for what was available when you learned. Your comfort level makes it so you answer the above question with I posed,...."yes, it's worth it" But to say you've never lost a fish because of it, isn't something you could ever know, unless you've never, ever lost a fish on the set which is highly against the odds, righty OR lefty.

RH vs. LH
This isn't a "one versus the other" type scenario, it's pretty basic. Hold the rod with the hand you write with. If you learned yrs ago, when there were no LH baitcasters and you find yourself switching hands, then you have to ask yourself one thing,..."Is it worth some time being uncomfortable to correct a bad a habit or do I keep giving the fish a few extra seconds while I switch hands and stick with what I was conditioned into doing?" Only you can answer that, it's not a one versus the other question

Quantum- fading away???
It's a biiiiiig check well, 4 pages and 2 approvals, 1 from someone who previously worked for the company. So I'm not seeing things, it isn't just me, good to know, lol. As for "the forum" not liking the reels, it has nothing to do with the forum, these are replies from actual fisherman,...grass roots raw info. I thought it might just be something I've noticed via the lack of Quantum traffic but from reading these pages, it seems it's a lot more than that.

Baitcaster, Right or left?
What hand do you write with? Put the rod in that hand.

I finally discovered the blessing called "braid"!
Just remember that if using braid on a crank or topwater rod, you want to make sure the rod has an extra bit of flex in it. If I were to buy a rod specifically for cranking with braid, I'd make sure it were softer than if I were using a line with stretch. You're gonna love all the new sensitivity you get with braid and the more you use it, the better you are at "feeling" (what's on the bottom)

File Vectoring-Again
There are about 8 but that one is the most intricate. Not sure of the file format, I'll find out. This is awesome. Billy Raymond can also help so maybe we'll do 4 and 4. Thanks again!

Size class question- FishChris, other trophy hunters please
Do you find that the larger, i.e. "elderly' class of fish don't jump as much? Is there a definitive style of fight? (diggers, jumpers, rubber boot,?)

Question For All The NH ppl
I thought it would be this easy too but when I went to the registry, they look up that number and if it doesn't match the name on the bill of sale, you're in for some red tape. Make sure the seller was the last person to register the boat. If not, make sure he puts the name of previous owner in the bill of sale.

Quantum- fading away???
You sure don't hear much about Quantum anymore, wondering if the line has gone down hill or why there isn't much chatter regarding their stuff. I mean, we got posse's for just about every big hitter out there, what happened to these guys? They have some big boys on the staff, but here, where we hear from "Joe Public", it seems there aren't many Quantum users. Don't get me wrong, they're here, but certainly not in force like Shimano, Abu, Pflueger, Daiwa, etc

Search For a Jon Boat Complete
Guys, be careful putting 2 people in a 10'....just a forewarning. :-? It's very, very, very easy to dunk the stern corners,....that means diving for your tackle and rods if they aren't tied to the boat :-[ Be careful.

Jon boat
Bill, I also have a 12' 1964 and it certainly is heavier than any 12made today. Thicker aluminum and more generous dimensions are why and I wouldn't trade it for the world. There is plenty of help here if you plan to make a project out of it and do a restore. I also found mine by driving around lakeside neighborhoods (I'm a UPS driver) by leaving a photo copied note on any door with a boat in the yard. You'd be surprised, look for one with moss on it and the owner might even give it to you, thanking you for removing the eyesore that was left behind when a son left for college 10 yrs ago or whatever. They are out there, you just need to go find yours! Good luck!

Crashing crankbaits!??
I'm no C/B afficianado but I know they make different bills for different applications. I believe the square and coffin shaped bills are made for bouncing off wood, perhaps one of the elite crankers here can fill you in a bit better. The cranking I do is in deep water and grass.
