I have the HDMI cables on our high def tvs, but, I'd like someone to explain this. The signal comes from the satellite on a coaxial cable, the same for some cable companies. If a chain is only as strong as its weakest link how does an HDMI cable improve the signal received from the satellite's coaxial cable? It seems to me that what comes in on coaxial can be carried just as well by another coaxial for the audio/visual signals. Fiber optics are another matter. A coaxial cable cannot carry the information that is decoded within the satellite box to its fullest extent when it comes to audio and video going back out to a TV and/or HT-stereo receiver. If it could, then just using composite AV cables would work as well.

I could careless about sparks inside a wood stove. Also, it doesnt make such a mess in my basement due to the nature of its bark. I like using oak, hickory, ash, locust well basically any hardwood, but beech is about as clean a wood as you can use when it gets inside the house.

All 3 brands mentioned do a quality job with very little differences. I cant say I have ever seen the issue mentioned on the Magellun about not being able to change routes while in the middle of a route. I do that easily with an entry level unit I have.

That was the good thing about the big storm we had here at the first of the year. 3 big beech trees were uprooted on the hill just across from my house. Made for some very good firewood for myself, Dad and uncle just a wheelbarrow trip away from my woodpile.

I had abouta 4 foot sand shark swimming around me all day while fishing for blues. I never could snag that critter.
