  1. Zillions are the best rods for their price.
  2. Lately, i have been making my own jigs and now I want to start making swimbaits. Does anyone know how I would cut PVC foam for swimbaits between eight and twelve inches. Also, do any of you guys know how heavy and hard to ballast PVC is compared to balsa? Thanks.
  3. I forgot. ;D
  4. Why would you want to buy that? I would be suprised if a single person has bought that lure. Besides Raul, Micro, and T-rig
  5. Big round rubber jigs.
  6. Mann's C4 elite.
  7. Thats a great video. It gives away the secret of the mop jig :-X
  8. Have any of you guys tried zoom super speed craws? If so how do you like them? to the pincers float at rest, or lay down like the pacas.
  9. I prefer the rubber jigs. I might get only one bite a day on a rubber jig but the fish will usually be larger than three pounds. I tie my own rubber jigs with extra long skirts to make them appeal to bigger bass.
  10. Kevin VanDam is six foot two inches tall.
  11. The people who were throwing the pencil poppers were the guys on the elites at Clarks Hill. Up here I think the bigger bass eat the 10 inch gizzard shad.
  12. It's most likely a Norman. you can tell by the eyes. Though the hooks don't look like the hooks on all of my DD22s.
  13. I have noticed that a lot of people like to throw big pencil poppers on reservoirs like Clarks Hill where there are Bluebacks. Where I fish we have a big population of ten inch gizzard shad. We may also have some Blue Back Herring. I was wondering how you guys think a seven inch Cotton Cordell pencil popper would work.
  14. What type of worm is that?
  15. I've only bought one bill lewis rattletrap and dont think i'll be buying another. The Eagle Claws are terrible. They rust and dull way too easily.
  16. northeast southeast west fishing tackle bass cars movies food tacklemaking boats. do i win?

If the big fish are there and they feel like it, they should strike it anywhere in the country.

nope, not too big for bass.
  19. I have 170 dollars in gift cards for bass pro shops. These gift cards are from retuning a combo in which the reel's worm shaft stopped moving and a guide on the rod broke while pulling backwards to break a jig off of a tree. The people at the store asked if I wanted store credit or money. I stupidly said store credit. now it turns out bass pro shops doesn't have the rod I want, which is a zillion. Is there possibly a way to exchange the gift cards for cash?
  20. Have any of you tried spike-it color and scent markers? If so how did you like them?
  21. Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge. Its for gamecube but its great. Yesterday I found a deep hole with a mussel bed that came off of a ledge. The game setting was a clear January morning. The smallmouth were stacked up there and they couldnt resist a spoon. You can use gamecube games on wii.
  22. I was thinking of which one to get too. I have 150 dollars in bass pro shops gift cards and they dont have the zillion rods. Right now i am leaning towards the kistler magnesium.
  23. You must fish the pond at least twice weekly and it will come to you. I have found out the whole bottom contour of my favorite pond and can draw a topo map of it straight from my head. I have done this by looking at the water when it is clear. This gives me a small view of the bottom contour. Then I use different lures like carolina rigs to feel the bottom. After that fish breaklines and brushpiles, deep or shallow depending on water clarity.
  24. Trust me, I throw a lot more than just a jig, but when I'm looking for a big fish, I throw a big round rubber jig. When the bass are on baitfish, you can swim the jig. I rarely find myself swimming a jig. Here is an example of bass feeding on baitfish (blueback herring) but taking a jig. http://www.another site/news_article.asp?ID=1718 Why throw a jig if they are on baitfish? Sounds like the making for a great crankbait, fluke, or spinnerbait bite. :-?
  25. all of the times are about to run out, thus making people react on impulse and bid. 8-)
