Here in Maryland the grass all dies during the winter. I have found a stretch of grass in my favorite place to fish where I was catching bass all summer. Now the grass is all dead. The water is about five feet deep. The deepest area in the place I fish goes to about 12 feet deep but there is no grass there. Do you guys think the bass would be hanging around the grass or do dead and dying grass really take oxygen from the water? by blade baits i mean hunks of metal with lead bellies. They usually have two treble hooks. They are also called silver buddies.

so far i've caught black nose dace, golden shiners, warmouth, eastern mudminnows, one shorthead red horse, and a few crawfish. have you caught the blacknose dace on a rod and reel, I know that they school heavily here during the dead of winter and maybe if I have ten minutes after finishing my homework some day i could go hook some.

do any of you guys have any experience using blade baits? I have heard they are great winter baits. After popping them off of the bottom how long do I let them sit? Do you accidentally snag a lot of carp and shad while trying for bass?

get what ever lures you like. You could get a rod or reel too.

I was at dickerson on sunday. the river was raging. it was all brown and part of the outflow island was flooded. I hooked something that deemed very small and it threw the hook. Just remember guys, it is illegal to keep any largemouth or smallmouth bass from the potomac near dickerson. I will probablly be there some over winter break.

I want to get that boat that i've been saving up for. I should get the boat come May.

Everytime I've gone to kings dominion near Richmond its taken about three hours. How long does it take to get from Richmond to Bethesda on a good day? You should fish some while in Bethesda. ;D
