Maryland's Who's who!
Haven't posted here for a while. Been fishing the canal and Potomac since about age three and really got into it around 14 when I would go every day after school. Started tournaments at 16 and I've been hooked ever since. Lately I've been fishing the canal and Potomac every day since I just graduated so I've probably seen some of you out there. Good to see I'm not the only one doing some c&r on the canal bass.

Reel scratches
Hey everyone, I was wondering if light reel scrapes or scratches can be buffed out with rubbing compound. The reels I'm thinking of touching up are some TWS Zillions, and 50th anniversary Zillions. They are light scrapes that aren't all the way to paint. Thanks

Shimano Sonora Anti Reverse
I have a Sonora and I took it apart for a cleaning but the anti reverse now doesn't work. Everything else is fine and I lost no parts. Any suggestions?

Stuck Screw
On one of my Zillions, one of the screws holding down the plate that holds the handle shaft is corroded in. I can see the rust on the other side, and when I try to unscrew it, it doesn't budge. Any suggestions? It's kind of in a tight area so I don't want to strip the head and cause a bigger problem.

Dents
Thanks! One of the spots is where a co-angler banged it with a weight, is there any dent removal system to fix this?

Dents
I have some mold marks (dents) down the left side of my 364V. Would filling in with clear gel and buffing smooth fix this? I have done chips in Non poly-flake gel before and it always ended up looking as good as new, poly-flake is new to me though. Thanks I fixed the font size

Dropped My Spool
Yeah, at least it wasn't a baitcaster and the bearing just happened to hit. Then I would have to go through the dreaded pin removal process

Dropped My Spool

Dropped My Spool
This one is a spinning reel.

Dropped My Spool
Well, I took the spool off my Daiwa Advantage today and dropped it right on the floor where it did a few bounces. It has a few little marks on the bottom, but other than that it looks fine. Is it possible looks are deceiving and something has bent that could cause other problems? Thanks.

Dents In Glass Boat
They are dents, I know it sounds weird, but they are.

Dents In Glass Boat
Sorry for the bad pictures, I had to use my laptop's webcam. They are kind of hard to see but are clearest just right of the penny. The pictures make them look small.

Dents In Glass Boat
I'm thinking that somehow it may just be the gel coat.

Dents In Glass Boat
I don't currently have a phone that can upload pictures and can't find my digital camera. Do you guys think there would be any way to remove the dents?

Dents In Glass Boat
Not gouges, but dents, like on a car. They are on the top too. I am thinking maybe acorns.

Dents In Glass Boat
I have an Older Ranger (364V) and it has 3 long, rather shallow dents down the top left side. They each seem to have a deepest point, and while far apart, are all lined up. I also have 1 or 2 others which I know were caused by weights hitting the side. Anyone know what the others could be? Any way to fix them? Thanks.

Silicone Sealant
Is a glob of silicone sealent enough to put on a screw that will be holing a transom mount transducer? I coated the screw and screwed it in tightly.

Floor rot?
I just went out and checked it and it runs from bow to stern.
-
Floor rot?
I have an older Ranger and right under the console there is a spot in the floor where the floor seems to have a small gap in it under the carpet. It is not soft and doesn't give but I was wondering if you guys thought it might be floor rot. Thanks.

GT 150 won't start
Yep, never cranked. I got the battery fully charged so I might try it out when I can get some muffs. Will muffs work with the GT 150's water inakes? I hear they don't work on some motors. And also, while we're at it, since you seem to know a lot about OMC motors, is 1-2 MPG about average fora GT 150 on an 18 glass boat? I know measuring MPG is not usually done on boats and any fuel consumption measurement is hard, but does that sound right?
