Which big spoon?
I just didn't include all of the information about why I wanted to try different spoons because I thought that people who have tried the Lake Fork spoon and some of the other spoons on the market would help me compare them and tell me which ones they like better. Have you tried the Lake Fork spoons?

Which big spoon?
I want to change spoons because of the gigantic logo on the spoon, and because the spoon has terrible split rings on it. Also, the store near me does not have Lake Fork Tackle spoons, and I don't need 50 dollars worth of stuff from Tackle Warehouse, I have done that far too many times this month. KevO, I am using a seven foot six inch heavy fast Daiwa Zillion rod with a 7.3:1 gear ratio Daiwa Zillion reel spooled with 15 to 20 pound test monofilament.

Snakeheads
First, filet the Snakehead. Next, cut the filets of Snakehead into chunks. Dip the chunks in cornmeal, then dip them in egg, and then in cornmeal. Then you deep fry them in corn oil. You can add salt if you want to.

Ledges
I fish many ledges with no cover.

Which big spoon?
Lately, I have been throwing a big spoon on ledges when the football jig and deep crank bite shuts down and it has been working well. I am running low on Lake Fork Lures Spoons, and was wondering wheter I should stick with them, or whether I should try the Joe Spaits Spoon or the Strike King Sexy Spoon. The main reasons I am thinking of swithcing spoons is because of the huge logo on the back of the Lake Fork spoons, and because of their terrible split rings. Do the Strike King Sexy Spoons still have issuses with the paint chipping?

Aggressive Pumpkinseed
Haha, my dad caught a 1 inch sunfish on a 3/4 ounce Red Eye Shad this spring. He hooked it upwards through the lips. Almost all types of Sunfish are very aggressive for their size. Pumpkinseed seem to be the most aggressive though.

What hook?
I guess you guys are right. Do you guys know what the lightest wire Owner treble hook onthe market is? Even if it doesn't bend, I need it for better hook sets.

Snakeheads
They are actually really docile. I have never seen another person catch one, and I have seen hundreds in the section of the river I fish. They spook very easily too.
-
What hook?
That's what I was looking for, an Owner that has a wire diameter light enough that it will bend a little when I pull very hard. Though I don't really lose many big spoons while ledge fishing because there is no wood where I am fishing, just scattered rock. And I also want the lighter wire hook for better hook ups while setting the hook 50-70 yards away from the spoon.

What hook?
When I get snagged. And I don't want it to bend on a fish, but when I pull very hard while snagged. Anyways, the way these fish take the spoon, it isn't bending out of their mouths.

What hook?
I need a light wire treble hook that will bend easily for casting a big spoon to ledges. I would prefer it to be an Owner hook. Any idea on what hook model I should buy?

Snakeheads
I had heard that they were tasty. Also, since I killed them, I didn't want to waste them. They taste amazing. By the way, Snakeheads are the only fish I keep.

Snakeheads
Yeah, you have to kill them. Anyone from Bass Resource want to have a Snakehead fishing get together sometime?

Jigs Vs Senko
Definatelly a jig. I don't fish Senkos too much. Even though they do work, they are hard to fish fully weightless in 20 feet of water, and the lakes I fish rarely hold fish in water less than 10 feet deep. They don't seem to work as well Carolina rigged, or Texas rigged.

Snakeheads
Well, the month of May was a good month for me. I finally caught a Snakehead. One day, I saw tons of Snakeheads gulping air in the Potomac, so I tried to catch them. They wouldn't bite, so I kept on fishing for them for 4 hours a day, for the next 5 days and eventually caught one. They are very slimy, smell like anise, and can slither on land. In all, I caught 3 during May, and then the Snakeheads left the section of the river I was fishing. They weighed 1 pound 7 ounces, 3 pounds 9 ounces, and 5 pounds 6 ounces. Snakehead is the best tasting food I have ever eaten. Here are some pictures of the Snakeheads.

Shell beds.
Are there many Mussels around the Potomac? I haven't found any yet. I am going to try finding some shell beds on Tuesday though.

Shell beds.
Does a lake need to have anything special, like clear water, or current to hold shell beds?

Your Biggest Smallie(s)
I was fishing yesterday and had a huge smallie throw the hook right at shore. Getting a good look at the fish made me even more frustrated because I saw that the fish was 4 or 5 pounds. My biggest I have landed was about 4 pounds in the Susquehanna.

Were you paying attention?
Lure selection is definately important. Sometimes the fish will hit a deep crank, but won't hit a football jig. Sometimes, a fish will hit a football jig but not a deep crank. This seems to be even more true when fishing for smallmouth.

Will this fish be okay. Number two.
Above the knot.

Will this fish be okay. Number two.
Roadwarrior, I tied a Palomar knot. .dsaveedra, I was just curious whether everyone thought the fish would live or die.

Will this fish be okay. Number two.
Checking the line was probablly what made me lose the fish. I had not yet checked the line that day though it was after less than ten casts that the fish broke off. I guess I should start checking the line more often.
