I use 6# on one of my spinning reels and plan to try it soon on some BC outfits.

I've never used any Lews reel so I guess my opinion is null, but I will say I own two SLX reels and they're great! I doubt you'll be disappointed in either selection.......

I'm on the fence about the U-40 sealant. I've heard both positive and negative reviews. I too purchased several high end rods this year and have been going back and forth on whether to seal them or not? I've already used them but a magic eraser will clean them right up.

Look around, you can find some used for that price. If not used spend a little more and go with the Fury CB.

How do you like 6lb copolymer for this application?

The only one I've ever tried is Yo-zuri Hybrid 6lb on a spinning setup. I'm impressed and plan to try some on my BC setups soon.

I just got a new wacky and weightless Senko rod yesterday, went with the Avid X 68SMXF after tons of recommendations. I haven't fished it yet just handled it last night. I think I'm going to enjoy fishing with it!

I don't bash but it sure is annoying when someone on here, not going to mention any names but in EVERY single post they try to push a certain brand who IMO is junk............

Well, I came across a deal on the Avid X I couldn't pass up so it's on its way. Thanks for all the suggestions and help fellas. Now I just need to decide on a reel....

I was dead set on getting a new Curado 71HG to pair with my IMX pro 853c for a light Texas rig setup until I ran across a pretty good deal on a new Tatula 100. How does it compare? It's a little heavier but don't think that will be noticeable. Is it worth saving ~$50 by going with the Tatula?

What's the average cost to ship a single rod via UPS? I've got a few I'm possibly selling. Just curious.

Thanks, yeah I'm not a huge fan of leaders anyway. I'll more than likely be using braid or Yo-zuri Hybrid on this setup.
