  1. Jerkbait, weightless Senko or Ned rig.
  2. LH all day for me, but it's all personal preference. I'm right handed but grew up fishing with a spinning reel, obviously LH retrieve so when I starting buying BC reels the LH was the way to go for me.
  3. I've never owned a Legend Xtreme but I'm a huge St. Croix and Loomis fan. I've had the 853c and 854c in the IMX pros and both were excellent rods, lightweight, sensitive and well made. I've got several St. Croix rods as well and my only complaint (other than my Avids) is they tend to be a bit tip heavy. I'd maybe handle both if you are able to but I don't think you can go wrong with either one of your choices.
  4. I prefer the fish logo over the G Loomis. Bummer..........
  5. I didn't know fake rods were a thing? I'm a collector of knives and used to collect shoes (both were and are faked)
  6. Wow, Baccarac looks amazing. That's on my list for next year.
  7. Another vote for a St. Croix Legend Glass, I own a 6'10" and it is a wonderful crankbait rod.
  8. Yeah, another vote for the TW covers.
  9. I was taught as a kid to fish with only moving presentations (crankbait, spinnerbait and topwater), while it helped me learn I wish I had been taught the texas rig or weightless finesse worm earlier.
  10. Welcome to BR, tons of awesome knowledge here. I'd suggest next time posting in the proper forum to get more answers. (I'm sure a mod will move it) Also, a search will yield you tons of topics on a drop shot specific rod. I don't throw the drop shot a whole lot but when I do I use my Dobyns Sierra 702S.
  11. I've got a 7.4 on my backup crankbait rod and sometimes I find it difficult to slow it down after being used to my main CB setup with a 6.2. I just have to pay attention.
  12. Can't help you on your issue but hello to a fellow Central Kentuckian!
  13. I had a set of the below and they were nice, but unfortunately I lost them off the boat never to be seen again. I'll more than likely grab another pair during the TW Black Friday sale. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/The_Rod_Glove_Wrapz_2_Pack/descpage-TRGW.html
  14. Yeah, this forum has so many members who contribute tremendously to help me feed the bait monkey. Blessing and a curse, haha.
  15. Do you want the digital control or not? You can't go wrong with the K, it's well proven and is a true workhorse. I own several Curado K's and they are awesome reels. I also own few regular SLX's and much prefer the smaller size over the K. I don't own any DC reels but plan on picking up an SLX DC soon as the LH retrieves have started to hit stores.
  16. I've got a St. Croix Avid and it's awesome. I actually have a Legend Glass too and it's always a tough decision on which one I take when I have to decide between the two on the kayak.
  17. Refresh my memory but doesn't TW start the BF sale a day or two early?
  18. I own several examples of both, but prefer split.
  19. Yeah, I saw where the current 70 is being marked down as it's discontinued. When do you expect to see the new 70's?
  20. I own the Avid X 68MXF and use it exclusively for my weightless Senko rod. It does great even though it slightly hurts my hand.
  21. Man, those jig boxes look sweet.
  22. I prefer the size of my SLX reels over my K's and am going back and forth on ordering an MGL version or going with a 70.
  23. Anywhere to buy one other than Ebay? I want to try one but not wanting to wait a month to get it as what is advertised shipping time on the bay.
  24. I'm all ears, shoot me a PM and we can discuss. Thanks
