NRX 893c or 894c?
I disagree. For what you're trying to accomplish that one rod will not do everything you want, so might as well get both, haha. You will eventually, NRX's are like Lays, can't just have one. 4 power for jigs 3/8 and up IMO. I think my NRX 853c is way too underpowered for any jig over 5/16 so I only throw lighter t-rigs and jigs with it. I've not fished an 893c but supposedly it has a little more power and backbone than the 853c. I'd go 4 power or check out the 873 CRR.

Which Discontinued tackle would you love to see back?
Same here, but I'm a crankbait junkie. haha

Spinning reels
IMO Abu is junk. Go Shimano and don't look back. I've got several Shimano spinning reels, including some 15+ year old Saharas and Siennas that are still going strong. The newer models I own, a few Nascis, and Stradic Ci4+ 2500 are smooth and light.

Chatterbait trailer: razor shadz vs zako
I've only ever used the Razor Shadz and they seem to do the trick, I think I've had one on a single chatterbait for months.

Which Discontinued tackle would you love to see back?
Yeah, I like the Havoc Pit Boss, and actually didn't know they were discontinued. I'll have to check the local WalMarts to see if I can find some.

What are these old lures?
Very cool, nice of your neighbor to give them to you. Also good to see that old Bomber like a few others mentioned, a similar one caught the world record smallie right here in KY at one of my favorite lakes ever.

Favorite Early Summer Time Baits
Still having some crazy weather here, supposed to drop to 26 tonight after being almost 80 last week. But when it happens, texas rig worms, weightless Senkos (wacky or texas rigged), Whopper Plopper/Frog, squarebills, jig and new this year, swimbaits, specifically the Spro Rat and Bucca 4x4 Bullshad. Don't know yet how those last two will work but I'm after size rather than numbers this summer.

Buff Recommendations
Well, couldn't find one locally and none of my online tackle shops had one that would ship quick. Ended up ordering several from AFTCO @ $14 each, and they offered half off 2 day air shipping which ended up only being $2.99 more than ground. Ground was 5-7 days to even process the order and ship from California. Also, a huge plus, for every one you purchase as someone mentioned earlier, they donate one to first responders. Win, win. Don't know if I'll ever wear one on the water but I'm using them as a "cloth face mask" for now........

Buff Recommendations
Been trying to find a Huk one locally to no avail. Now that everyone has to wear masks, they are all sold out.

6.3:1 Or 7.3:1 For Versatile Reel?
7 for sure. I only use 6 on my crankbait rods.

What Do You Bring For Lunch on the Water?
Ok, I'll bite. Frozen pizza? Cook it on the deck in the sun or eat it frozen/thawed? ? Natty Ice and frozen pizza. Lunch of champions

Disappointed, but.
That's a lot of weight for a cheap ML rod.

What G Loomis worm/jig rod should I get?
I wouldn't throw a 3/8 oz jig plus trailer and especially not a 1/2 oz jig plus trailer on my NRX 853c, especially into cover. I throw lighter texas rigs and 1/4-5/16 jigs plus trailer. It seems waaayyy underpowered for anything else heavier. IMO. For OP if you go NRX I'd go a 4 power if throwing 3/8-1/2 oz plus trailer.

What Do You Bring For Lunch on the Water?
Most of the time I'm so caught up in fishing I don't even think about eating. But I always have a sandwich, peanut butter crackers, chips, water, diet dew and Gatorade.

Trying To Stop You From Fishing A Dock
So you dug up an age old thread to post this as your first post on this forum? I'm sorry but the saw blade idea is nothing but dangerous, and I hope if you do it that it comes back and bites you. Troll

Soft plastics storage boxes
I keep them in the original bags, don't know why anyone would do any different? Anyways, I always kept them in nice Ziploc freezer bags when in my yak until I found the Plano KVD black worm bags. Absolute game changer for me and inexpensive. Bye bye Ziplocs.

Dobyns 704c
+1 I have two Nascis, one 1000 and a 3000. I honestly think they're almost as nice as my Stradic Ci4+ 2500.
