Looking to buy spinning rod for a friend...
Hands down Dobyns Sierra 3 power, and right now is the time to buy. Oh, and don't forget to buy the gift card @ 10% off and then use it to buy the rod. Total of 40% off. I forgot to do the gift card on my first order yesterday but am going to order more today and use that trick.

Dang, I didn't even think to do the gift card first, nice move.

Yep, I really don't need anymore rods but ordered a few more 734c's.

Spro Rock Crawler 55 vs 50
I'd stick with the 55. I even fish it in shallower depths and have success. I absolutely slayed them a few weeks ago on a 55 until I finally got it hung and after 20 minutes trying to get it back I gave up.

New Main Line You Want To Try Next ?
I'm just trying to decide on what I want to put on my new reel. I got a new 70 Curado MGL to pair with my 853c NRX for light t-rigs and jigs. I currently have a Curado K on it with braid and while I like it, I'd really like to try fluoro on this setup. Just going back and forth between line weight and brands.

Soft Swimbaits- Hollow body vs. Keitech
I'm going to give these a try, thanks. What rod do you toss these on?

Is this a good deal?
Considering it's a $600 reel then yes, I'd say it's a good deal. Just go to TW and compare prices. JDM reels from Japan are always going to be cheaper, just be aware that warranty is null if that matters to you.....

So many DC’s. So little money.
I'm a huge Shimano fanboy but have yet to try a DC. I was going to go with a Curado DC to pair with a texas rig/jig rod back when they were on sale for Black Friday. Well, after more thought I ended up going with a new Curado 70 MGL instead. I'll eventually get a DC but my Chronarch MGL's, Curado K's and even SLX reels all perform so great then why get a DC?

For you guys that fish both Shimano and Daiwa baitcasters...
I have one Daiwa Tatula and about 13-15 Shimanos (Curado K, Chronarch MGL, SLX, etc.) I have no issues with my Daiwa but much prefer Shimano.

shimano slx xt
Go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

2020 Zodias Spinning Inquiry
Thanks for the info on this, great help. I think I'm going to try the ML for a dedicated weightless Senko rod.

Spinning reel equivalent to the Curado
Hands down Stradic, I mean just look at all the other replies in this thread............ Don't waste your time or money on anything else.

Skipping with Daiwa Tatula Elite Pitch/Flip Reel?
Well of course it's not going to work, you're putting a Daiwa on a Shimano. ?

KVD 1.5 Hard Knock
I'm a huge fan of crankbaits and the 1.5 in general so I'll have to grab some of these. First time seeing them!

Shimano curado K 70 mgl
I took advantage of the sale and ordered one yesterday. I got the XG and will be pairing it with a NRX 853c and using it for light jigs, and texas rigs. I currently have a Curado K on that rod and I wanted something smaller and lighter. Can't wait to see how this combo works out!

NRX Model for Tungsten Finesse Jigs - Smaller Lighter Wire Hooks
Maybe it's just me but I feel that a 3/8 jig plus trailer feels way too much for my NRX 853c The rod just feels way underpowered. I use my 853c for lighter 1/4 oz jigs plus trailer and texas rigs. Maybe I need to give it another try. See above. Maybe I need to try it again. I couldn't imagine throwing a 1/2 oz jig plus trailer on it........

St. Croix Avid Series Spinning 7’ Medium VS G. Loomis E6X Spinning Rod 7' Med 842S SJR
Dobyns Champion XP Dobyns Sierra St. Croix Avid Shimano Zodias Some of those are a bit over $200 and some are under. If you do some shopping around all could be had for $200 or less.

St. Croix Avid Series Spinning 7’ Medium VS G. Loomis E6X Spinning Rod 7' Med 842S SJR
I've not owned an E6x, but have fished a few E6X casting rods. I do own some GLX and NRX rods, as well as some Avids and Avid X's. With that said, I'd definitely choose the Avid over the E6X. I really like G Loomis rods but their are many better choices out there in that E6X price range IMO.

I always look forward to the TW sale but unfortunately every rod on my list is on backorder. Ugh

Curado 300 is here.
Nice, I'm going to pick one up eventually for my swimbait rods, 795 and 806 and replace the Curado 201k's on them now. What baits are you planning on throwing with it, also what rod?

You ever have a rod that put your hand to sleep?
My dedicated spinning Senko setup, Avid X doesn't put my hand to sleep but definitely hurts my hand. Kinda bummed because it's a great rod and I bought it brand new, but going to offload it soon.

6th Sense
Yep, I'm a huge fan of 6th sense crankbaits. I hope to try a provoke soon if I can find a color I like in stock somewhere!

Booyah XCS Square bill...
I assume you meant Booyah? If you do search here there were quite a few threads about them when they were just released or before they came out. Lots of info in those. I am a crankbait fiend so I of course picked up quite a few last year when they were so cheap @ Cabelas. I've only fished them a couple times and they definitely dive very shallow. Not bad for the price I paid. Untitled by Caleb Bender, on Flickr
