Moving from Nrx 893 to Conquest 4 power
Following because I'm in the same boat as my 853c NRX is way underpowered IMO for even a 3/8 oz jig plus trailer. I was contemplating grabbing an 873CRR but have my doubts it will be enough rod for heavier jigs in medium to heavy cover.

New Shimano Baitcasters for 2021?
Same, I have a couple and don't need another spinning reel but I'm probably going to grab one. Back to new Shimano models, I don't think we'll see a lot announced due to the Coronavirus.

Keeping Z Man baits from sticking together?
Interesting, I know to store them away from other baits and I keep them in a Z man branded binder in my garage through the heat and cold and have never had an issue.

Wacky rig fish keep getting off
Yeah, try an Owner or Gamakatsu and see if your luck changes.

and just like that, the jig light.....
To those losing jigs, have you tried a lure retriever to get them back? I just really started using jigs with more frequency about 4 years ago and still need to use them more. I always have at least one rod in the yak with a jig tied on it.

Thanks for the clarification.

St Croix Mojo Bass spinning rod
Yeah, 68 MXF is what you want. I've got that rod in the Avid X I use only for weightless Senkos, both texas rigged and wacky.

River Fishing Line
I would use 6lb Yo-zuri Hybrid. I will say I also use KVD line and lure which makes the line perform even better.

Rod for paddle tail swimbaits
Same here, either a 6'8" Avid MF or my Dobyns 734c depending on size. What ratio reel do you use? 6?

Choosing bait to pitch/flip?
Whatever works friend! I just prefer other worms for weighted presentations, that's the beauty of the Senko, the way it falls weightless. ?

BBZ-1 Rat Pack ~
I've had my 40 for a while but it hasn't had the chance to leave the package. I've got a 50 on order too. I'm anxious to throw it on my 795, it's my entry into swimbait fishing even though the 40 is still mainly considered a topwater? Oh well, I'm ready to give it a whirl but the weather has been terrible on the days I'm free from work to fish, go figure right? Hope everyone is staying safe! Untitled by Caleb Bender, on Flickr

Choosing bait to pitch/flip?
I only use Senkos weightless texas rigged or wacky rigged, never for pitching and flipping. I like creature baits or craws.

Suit yourself. I've been buying and selling on Ebay since 2000 and have bought tons of things, including my Z71 Tahoe, sight unseen and had it shipped halfway across the country. Best vehicle I've ever owned and I got a hell of a deal. Always use paypal no matter what and be smart about the seller, pretty easy. I've bought all my brand new Curado K's from Ebay at absolute steals. Too bad you got burned, better luck next time.

6th Sense Axis Squarebill
I'm a huge 6th sense fan, and huge crankbait fan so I really want to try one. Getting my hands on one looks like it might be difficult.

Shoreline Boots
I wear Muck Fieldblazers on shore and early season in kayak. They double as my rubber hunting boots as well. Can't beat them.

I haven't been in either one in Lexington for a couple months before this pandemic. Which location had very little?

Good Reading
It's a dang shame that you can't find Jones book for under $100, more specifically under $130.

I don't recall but kind of on topic, I hear TW is not doing their annual Memorial Day sale. Doesn't really matter as they don't have anything in stock and you can't backorder most items. ?

NRX 893c or 894c?
Yeah, I know. But what I'm saying is a 3/8 oz. jig plus trailer is too much for a 3 power NRX but thats just my opinion and experience with fishing both powers.

Looking to pick up a Shimano baitcaster
For a workhorse I'd go with the Curado K even though I prefer the smaller size of my SLX's over my Curado K's. Just personal preference though.
