  1. I don't think Plueger, Bass Pro, or Abu Garcia actually manufacture reels. It's one of the great mysteries, where is this factory in Korea pumping out all these reels?
  2. The plot thickens: http://msn.foxsports.com/golf/story/10519234/Report:-Family-services-goes-to-Tiger's-house?
  3. There was a Carbon Lite baitcaster on their site a couple of days ago but now it's gone.
  4. I had a Revo S I sold after getting a Citica 200E. I set the brakes on the Revo 2 on, 4 off and the brakes that were disengaged would engage during fishing. My solution was finally to take off the four I wasn't using. Casting was also inconsistant. Using the same rod, same lb. test line, and casting weight the Citica would outcast the Revo. If you didn't know the Citica only had 4 bearings you would swear it had as many as the Revo. I also prefer the lighter weight of the Citica.
  5. Another vote for Bassin' here. Bassmaster has gone way down hill since I first joined. My subscription expires in Feb. and I don't plan to renew.
  6. yeah I hear ya. I'm either goin with the revo sx or the citica for the vendettas I'm gettin. I can't speak for the Revo SX or Vendetta, but I did have a Revo S that I sold after getting a Citica. For the price, I don't think you can beat the Citica.
  7. Watch yourself kid or you'll find yourself floating home.
  8. Thanks for the advice guys. I've got a medium Compre on the way courtesy Tackle Warehouse's sale last week. Should be here by Monday.
  9. I've bought a couple nice pairs at Sam's Club for about $60. Can't remember the brand right now but they are good for the price.
  10. Boys, all I know is that if I had to contend with critters like that to go fishing, I wouldn't be going fishing .
  11. Thanks, guys. I ordered it last night from Tackle Warehouse.
  12. 6.3 to 1 for me, 27 IPT. But with the spool filled to about 1/8 in., it's more like 25 IPT.
  13. The new technique for me was the shaky head. I also "rediscovered" shallow cranking after not doing it much the last couple of years. One of those deals where you smack yourself on the forehead and wonder why you stopped doing it :-?.
  14. BPS has their Extreme combos on sale for $99. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_103927_100003000_100000000_100003000_100-3-0
  15. You're right, that's true.
  16. I am and I sure ain't feeling productive >
  17. I need advice on a new spinning rod. I'm looking for a 6'6" for 1/16 to 1/8 oz. shaky heads and light 1/8oz. texas rigs. I usually only carry one spinning rod in the boat so I'm looking for something that would be a compromise for both. I've been looking at a Crucial MH 6'6" fast action and Quantum Superlite MH 6'6". Both are on sale so I was hoping someone had used one of these. Thanks.
  18. I was looking for a 6'6" spinning rod for 1/16 to 1/8oz. shakey heads and 1/8oz. Texas Rigs and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular rod.
  19. Quest? Yeah, I think that's it.
  20. Small Rapala original floater, 1/16 to 1/8 oz inline spinners, 3A Bomber Fat A ( I think that's the model, it's the smallest one they make), Teeny Torpedo.
  21. Is it a Dicks brand rod? I forget the name. My guess would be it's just a cheaper made rod.
  22. For general, all around fishing I would use 10-12lb mono, most likely 12lb. I wouldn't use braid if you are planning on using it for moving lures like crankbaits, nor would I pick flouro because it sinks quicker than mono if you wanted to use it for topwaters.
  23. If you're signed up onTW's email list, they have 20% off until Monday.
