Walleye in Summer
What are your best techniques to catch walleye during this time of the year? I'll be on the water in a couple hours and just thought I'd get some quick advice/suggestions before then. Thanks.

Like to pose a question to you all.......
A world record? No doubt about it, I'd keep her and have her stuffed. I'd also gladly except some money.

How much does it weigh Part II
8 or so. Nice fish. Congrats.

Golfcourse fishing?
I tossed a jitterbug a few times last night into two different ponds and got no bites. I was surprised but, maybe it just wasn't the right night.

Serious question... need answer
Read the referenced article, you might find it enlightening. Many fish swallow the bait without your awareness. Get a copy of Glen Lau's "Big Bass Forever": you will be amazed. Good article. I've never tried it but, will be sure to in the future if a fish swallows the hook. I guess depending on what bait you're using a fish could swallow it without you knowing it but, that only happens to me with bluegill sometimes. I also was sure that the gills were fairly fragile but, I guess they are tougher than I thought.. I still like to treat 'em with care though.

Who influenced the way you fish?
My uncle has always been a good fisherman and he took me out a lot when I was young and taught me the basics. Had a lot of fun whenever we went so I'd say that he was my influence and I'm thankful for it.

Serious question... need answer
IMO It's usually a lot better to just cut the line when the hook is in the throat as it will eventually rust out or reject itself. Trying to dig it out is pretty risky and can easily kill a fish. Bigger bait = Bigger fish. Also pay attention to when that fish is striking... (feel your bait) to avoid them swallowing it.

Big bass survive with lure?
That's funny you say that because just last weekend, I had the same thing happen except it was a spinnerbait. I'm sure the fish will shake it at some point... I wonder what the hell they think about it though?

Nothing to brag about but... (pics)

How often are you "SKUNKED"?
I hardly ever get "skunked". I usually can catch something... a little dink or a bluegill if nothing else. I hate getting skunked.

where big bass live
I think this is a pretty good question and could use some answers. I would think big bass generally hang out in more cover and tighter spots... possibly deeper because it makes them feel safer. That's just my guess though. I'm no pro. yet

Question about trick worms
I haven't had much experience with them but, I caught a bass on one t-rigged. I'm sure C and T-rigs work, as well as weightless too.

Topwater
Just a couple nights ago I slammed a bunch of small bass on topwaters. They were hitting bugs on the surface all around us non stop right when it started getting dark. I hardly ever fail to catch a fish with a jitterbug at dusk. So, no, I can't say it's slowed down at all...

Rainbow Trout
Cool, man. I'm going to give a few things a try and see what happens. I'll give an update here in a few days and tell ya how it went. Thanks again.

Heavy grass and then some
Hey, welcome. I'm pretty new here too. Nice to see another Michigan fisherman aboard. 8-) I'd try rigging a worm or senko weedless and weightless. You could also use a weedless frog for some top water action. Good luck!

Rainbow Trout
Cool. Thanks roadwarrior. Sounds like rainbows are some cannibals...

Rainbow Trout
Thanks. She was a pretty fish and delicious too. I caught it in about 15-20 ft of water. We were marking fish 40-50ft down... don't know what they were though. I'm thinking there might be some hawgs in there, I was just wondering how to fish that deep of water. I'll try some small spoons and go buy some powerbait eggs and small floater jigs and hopefully hook up with some more. I have heard from a few people that a few pieces of corn on a hook works great... anyone tried it? Anything else anyone knows about catching trout in a lake please chime in.

MY MICHIGAN LARGEMOUTH

Rainbow Trout
Yesterday my dad and I went fishing at a lake that's been stocked with rainbows a few times over the years. I managed to catch one. He caught a perch and we both slammed a ton of small bass when the sun went down. The lake is deep. 50-70ft big holes. Weeds and nice structure. I've never been too good at fishing deep water like that so if you have any tips that'd be awesome. We want to go back and catch a mess of these trout but, don't know exactly how to fish for them and what the best bait is to use. Help anyone? I caught this one on a worm with a bell weight about 14 inches up from the hook just sitting on the bottom.
