  1. Below are the top login/registration and forum issues and their fixes. This is the official Help Desk post. We do not offer phone support. Please ensure your caps lock is off. That is the most common issue. Your password AND Secret Question Answer are case-sensitive ("password" is different from "PassWord", which is different from "PASSWORD"). Please type in username/password EXACTLY how you did when you registered (and check to be sure your caps lock is off). If your Secret Question Answer is 2 or more words, did you capitalize each word? Just the first one? Just the first letter? Try it. Ensure you're not leaving a blank space at the end of your password (common when you copy-n-paste a password). Ensure you're not blocking cookies. This could be in a browser setting or in your anti-virus (or both). Do no use Incognito Mode. Strange and unexpected behavior may occur. If you're trying to log in and you're positive you're answering the security question correctly, select a different question and answer that. If you're getting an error that you did not pass the security check when trying to register, it's because your ad blocker is blocking the CAPTCHA code (even if you don't see CAPTCHA). Please whitelist BassResource.com, in your ad blocker and then try again. If you're trying to register, but not receiving the confirmation email, please check your spam and junk folders. If you're using Gmail, be sure to check the "Social" and "Promotions" tabs. Also note it's possible you're already confirmed. If nothing is in your junk mail folders, double-check to ensure you typed in the correct e-mail address when you registered. This is the #1 reason why the registration e-mail fails. A lot of people do it, so don't feel like a dummy. If you're absolutely certain you correctly entered your e-mail address, please return to the forum, and use the "forgot password" feature to resend your password. If you are getting an error after clicking the link in your activation e-mail, then that's an indication your account is already activated. Please try logging in; it will probably work. Try logging in with your username/password even though you didn't get the email, and see if you can log in. If you waited several days before attempting to validate your e-mail, then the the validation code has expired and your registration failed. You will need to register again. If you're trying to register and it keeps saying the security check is not working. You're absolutely positive you answered the security question correctly, then ensure to click the box next to "Agree to Terms" before clicking to the next step. If you're seeing an error message when trying to log in or when viewing other forum pages, please clear your cache and cookies (yes, your cookies too!), restart your browser, and then try again. Also check to see if you're using the most current browser version and update it if not. If those don't work, then see this thread for additional suggestions: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/244981-issues-with-logging-in-staying-logged-in/ please read the entire thread, as there are multiple solutions revealed throughout. If it's been a long time since you've logged in and you've forgotten your password and you're not getting an email when you use the "Forgot Password" feature, please see this: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/269399-check-your-email-on-your-profile-and-ensure-its-current-you-will-be-locked-out-of-your-account If you're still having issues, then it's one or more OS/Browser/Device combinations and settings. The majority of login and forum technical issues are usually a browser setting, a browser extension, ad blocker, VPN, anti-virus, an outdated browser, etc. Disabling browser extensions, ad-blockers, VPN's and anti-virus one-by-one can potentially isolate the problem and help you figure out what to fix. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- OTHER ISSUES If you're asking about an email that says, "You just logged in from a device we haven't seen you use before.", please see the following for reasons and remedies: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/233100-action-needed-your-email-address/?do=findComment&comment=2638141 please read the entire thread, as there are multiple solutions revealed. If you're getting an error that you do not have permission to view the post, it's probably a Flea Market post. Please note that when an item is sold, the post is removed. So you're trying to view an item that has been sold, and the post is gone - hence the error message. If you're having difficulties filling out your profile, such as "getting caught in a loop", please be sure to fill out the "About Me" section, and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save". If you're getting an error that says you are banned, or that you have too many login attempts and your account is locked, it might be because you're using a VPN service (common with anti-virus software). Please whitelist BassResource.com in your anti-virus software or disable VPN (it's not necessary for accessing our site anyway), and then try again. If you're still having issues, then it's one or more OS/Browser/Device combinations and settings. The majority of login and forum issues are usually a browser setting, a browser extension, ad blocker, VPN, anti-virus, an outdated browser, etc. Disabling browser extensions, ad-blockers, VPN's and anti-virus one-by-one can potentially isolate the problem and help you figure out what to fix. 2. AFTCO long-sleeve shirts and gloves, Columbia PFG pants, I have a few Simms shirts as well. Hey Dude shoes (no sandals or crocks). The only thing that needs sunscreen is my head (70 spf from Neutrogena). WileyX, Bajio, and Hobie wrap around sunglasses. I tried various buffs, but it felt like Saran Wrapping my head. I have a hoodie from AFTCO that has a built-in buff that I haven't tried yet. We'll see. Just had a checkup with a dermatologist and he was like "Why are you here?"
  3. Yes! Just last week I took a friend out fishing and he broke 3 times during the cast (T-Rig). He kept checking his line, guides, reel, etc. I was ribbing him it was user error. Turned out his drag was too tight and he was trying to muscle the cast (casting too hard), which snapped his 15lb Power Pro.
  4. Ha ha! Ya, you're right! The funny (dumb) thing is the photographer took what seemed like 4,000 pics of me (no joke: 2hrs of shooting pics), and we were just talking after we finished. I was standing like that and he said, "Oh! Stay like that! That's a great shot! Lemme grab my camera." They ended up using that shot. LOL!
  5. I had/have the original hollow body Spook from the 90's somewhere in my garage. I tried it for awhile, but it's darn near impossible to walk the dog over weedy areas. I never got a bite on one, so I "retired" it.
  6. Think dropshotting is just for deep water? Think again. In this video, we reveal how to use a dropshot in less than 7 feet of water to catch pressured bass around wood, docks, debris, and heavy vegetation.
  7. The spawn is at it's peak, and the weather is lining up to be a GREAT day! I checked the DeepDive app, and it sure doesn't get much better than this! Even the peak feeding time lines up!
  8. Yep, I got the letter. There was another member that called my personal cell phone too. Guys - you need to check the official Bassresource social channels for updates should there ever be another outage. I know some of you don't use Facebook or Instagram, so I also posted on Youtube and our Google profile. I posted updates almost every day.
  9. I suppose you can putt well with a 9 iron if you practice enough.

  11. It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of my good friend, Tony Gergely, founder of Sure-Life Laboratories. Tony passed away today after a battle with leukemia. He passed peacefully with his family by his side. Many of you may know Tony through Sure-Life, Catch and Release, Please Release Me, and the many fish-care products he developed over the years. But Tony was much more than a name on a bottle. He was a pioneer in fish care, especially in the tournament fishing world, and his work helped change the way anglers think about caring for bass before, during, and after weigh-in. His impact on our sport is hard to overstate. Long before fish care became a common topic at tournaments, Tony was already working on real solutions to help bass survive the stresses of being caught, held in livewells, weighed, and released. Countless fish have survived because of his work, and countless anglers have learned to be better stewards of the resource because of the knowledge he shared. But to me, Tony was also a friend. For more than 20 years, Tony and I had many, many long discussions that often started in the evening and lasted well past midnight. We had a lot of laughs, along with deep conversations, whether we were talking on the phone, catching up at ICAST, or spending time together at Bassmaster Classics. I will miss those conversations more than words can say. Tony was also a very close friend of Doug Hannon, “The Bass Professor.” Tony introduced me to Doug, which led to another great friendship in my life. That was one of the many things Tony did so naturally. He connected people, helped people, and opened doors without ever making a big deal about it. One memory I will always treasure is how instrumental Tony was in getting Keri and me to Texas to fish the Take A Soldier fishing tournament at Fort Hood. Tony arranged a boat, truck, tackle for us to borrow, and accommodations. Then he picked us up at the airport and drove us the three hours to Fort Hood. We all fished the tournament together and had a fantastic time. That was Tony. If he believed in something, or cared about someone, he was all in. For decades, Tony also quietly supported BassResource. He didn’t do it for attention. He didn’t do it just to sell products. He did it because he believed in what we were doing, he believed in helping anglers, and he believed in taking care of the fish we all love to catch. That was Tony. Quietly generous. Deeply knowledgeable. Passionate about fish care. Willing to help. Willing to teach. And always looking for ways to leave the sport better than he found it. My eyes are filled with tears as I write this. Losing a friend is never easy, and Tony’s passing is a tremendous loss not only to those who knew him personally, but to the entire bass fishing community. Please keep Tony’s family, friends, and everyone at Sure-Life in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for your friendship, your generosity, your knowledge, the laughter, the conversations, the memories, and the legacy you leave behind.

  13. Absolutely nothing changed with the forum code, so I don't know what to tell you. Sounds like a problem with your phone/computuer configuration. 99% of all issues are usually a browser setting, a browser extension, ad blocker, VPN, anti-virus, an outdated browser, etc. Because there are hundreds of combinations and settings that end users have, there's absolutely no way I can be tech support for these issues. Clearing cache and cookies, then rebooting is the catch-all starting point, which corrects many common problems. Also, ensure you have the latest browser. Beyond that, I can't help. But disabling extensions, ad-blockers, VPN's and anti-virus one-by-one can potentially isolate the problem and help you figure out what to fix.
  14. 18 days - a record I hope never gets beat! I posted updates on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube as well as the forum homepage (when I was able to get it up) during the entire downtime.

  22. Here's an image from the camera. You know how wide a bass boat is, so this gives you an idea of how wide the camera angle is. That's his covered golf cart to the right. The camera detected the vehicle moving in the upper left and snapped this photo. You can download a full high-rez HD video of each event too. https://www.vosker.com/us/en
  23. When bass move up to spawn, they don’t just scatter randomly — they stack up in very specific places. This video breaks down four high-percentage spawning bass hotspots you can target on almost any lake or reservoir.
  24. I was able to get out on the water today for about 4 hrs. The fish were in all 3 phases of the spawn. I caught 14 fish, almost all on the Ragebug and a couple on Senkos. I checked the DeepDive app just to see if it matched my bait selection: Uncanny!!
