G-eee-osh! He's 16 already?! WOW he grew up fast! Happy birthday!- What do you make of this lure?
I don't know if I should be showing you this yet, but here's a new Japanese-inspired bait. Thoughts?- New Video! How to Catch More Bass Cranking in Summer
Summertime crankbait fishing can be incredible—if you’re doing it right. This video breaks down the key adjustments you need to make in warm water, including how deep to run your crankbait, where to throw it, and how to trigger reaction bites when bass are active.- Power Finesse
I think the problem is that often people define "finesse fishing" as whippy spinning rods, light line (less than 10 lbs), small hooks and tiny baits, when really it's a presentation style. The term "power finesse" evolved because so many people equate the equipment with the term "finesse". The reality is you can use stout gear and still be "finesse fishing". Here's a few videos I've made over the years where I've touched upon the concept: This shows Texas Rig fishing with a "finesse" tube (not a flipping tube) The second part of this video shows how to use finesse worms in heavy cover I could show more, but you get the idea.- A Trip Report for pdxfisher!
Wow....Just wow. Absolutely gorgeous scenery and fantastic fishing. You got it good Katie.- New Video! How to Cover Water in July: 5 Elite Setups for Big Bass

Our dear friend @.ghoti. (RIP) was a devoted coffee drinker, and recommended this. He once said "It will make Folgers taste great." ...and he was right! https://www.amazon.com/Aeropress-Coffee-and-Espresso-Maker/dp/B0047BIWSK/ref=pd_sim_79_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0047BIWSK&pd_rd_r=BYQ0GWSK0NV2H5G5XDSH&pd_rd_w=999ld&pd_rd_wg=pOmUV&refRID=BYQ0GWSK0NV2H5G5XDSH&th=1 There's even a thread here on it- July Bass Fishing Made Simple
July bass fishing can feel tough, but the bite hasn’t died — the fish have just changed. This video breaks down how bass behave in July, when to fish early and late, how to follow shade throughout the day, and the four bait categories that consistently catch fish in midsummer.- Your Current Leader Line with Braid Mainline ?
Seaguar Pounce is the most durable/versatile of the Seaguar leaders; Gold is the most supple (best for open water), Max is the most sensitive, but stiffer than Gold.- What’s your guy’s favorite braided line
I use Smackdown and TactX, and PeX8 on spinning. You just can't go wrong with them. That said, braid is a tactic-specific line, not an all-purpose line. It's best suited for vegetation and heavy cover presentations such as flipping and pitching. Braid isn't as abrasion resistant as fluoro, especially around rocks and cement. So if you're having problems with braid, it might because you're using it as a multi-purpose line and could be using it in situations where fluoro is a better choice.- New Video! Bass Live in Weeds — Here’s How to Catch Them
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for watching!- New Article! Best Summer Fishing Clothing for Bass Anglers

Man, I posted that video more than 7 years ago, guys, but it seems it's brand new to y'all. You need to subscribe to the BassResource YouTube Channel and start binge-watching. LOL- Wide angle!
LOL! It has about a 180 degree angle with no distortion (fish-eye), so I would think it would make it look smaller, right?- Wide angle!
It's a SeaDoo FishPro, designed for fishing. I was the first bass angler to try it.- New Video! Bass Live in Weeds — Here’s How to Catch Them
This video breaks down how to fish weeds the smart way, how to identify high-percentage irregularities, and which techniques work best from spring through fall—and even winter. This system will help you eliminate dead water and catch more bass consistently.- Wide angle!
If you remember, I focused the Vosker camera on the boat. But I just turned it a bit, and now I have the boat, golf card, quad, and Sea-Doo FishPro all in the frame. If you know how wide these are, then you'll realize just how much of a wide angle this camera has! And it's NOT distorted! Just look at the quality of the image too. And here it is at night. It uses infrared, not a light, even though it looks like it. No more blurry dark images. Plus it senses motion all the way out and on the corners of the frame, and can send you an alert if you want. https://www.vosker.com/us/en- Retrieving Stuck/Hung Up Lures and Baits
Here are several effective methods to get your lure unstuck- Which line is best for....?
Seaguar has a large line up of products (see what I did there?), and I often get questions about the different one and which to use/when. So here's a few tidbits for starters. I might add more braid info later. Feel free to post your questions here! Pounce is the most durable/versatile; Gold is the most supple (best for open water), Max is the most sensitive, but stiffer than Gold. PeX8 is for spinning reels; and the pound test is accurate. American lines "fudge" their breaking strength, meaning 15lb is more like 30lb breaking strength, but PeX8 15 JDM breaks at 15lbs Line diameters can be found on Seaguar.com. For example, go to https://seaguar.com/products/pounce%E2%84%A2-bass-leader... and click the pulldown menu for the different pound tests. It shows the diameter for each pound test. It also shows key characteristics on the same page for Knot Strength, Stretch, Abrasion Resistance, Memory, and Price On the spool and/or packaging, there are little baitcaster and spinning icons that designate what the line is best suited for. InvizX does have more stretch than the rest of the Seaguar fluorocarbon lineup (but it's not a bungy cord LOL!)- Smooth. Fast. Unstoppable.
