  1. Choosing lure colors doesn’t have to be complicated. This video breaks down a simple, proven system for selecting the right lure color based on water clarity, light conditions, and forage.
  2. The restaurant is still there - different name and owners though. The fishing is .... meh. You can catch a few along the riprap, but there isn't any other structure to hold fish. It's great for pike minnow, but the bass fishing is so-so. And if you go on the south side of the freeway, there's a gigantic sand flat that will dry dock you if you're not careful - and very little vegetation to hold fish. It looks good, but IMHO, it's best for water skiers.
  3. You don't have access because of overuse. There are multiple warnings posted in the Flea Market that your access will be revoked if you abuse the privilege. From the Flea Market Terms of Service That policy has been in place for years, and will not change. I've warned members over and over about this. It's posted in multiple stickies in the Flea Market, plus it's in the Flea Market TOS.
  4. Guys, don't PM or email me trying to make the case that because you joined a while back without posting means you should have access. The Flea Market is for active, regular contributors before gaining access to the Flea Market. (e.g. joining "a long time ago" simply does not meet the criteria.)
  5. Starting the day with a full tank and open water with a Suzuki Stealth!
  6. I have several glide/swim baits over $100. They definitely have more action than the "cheaper" baits like Savage Gear. Are they better? Well, those baits are kinda in a league of their own, so it's hard to say. I think they're built better though. I have too many "expensive" hard and soft baits to mention - Evergreen, Megabass, Nishine, Deps, RAID, Gan Craft, etc. I like the JDM baits. They align with the "you get what you pay for" in terms of quality. But are they "better"? Like any bait, there's a time and place when they're best used; and then "yes", they are "better".
  7. The problem is that you're running a very outdated version of Chrome (Chrome 128.0.0.0). I would suggest upgrading as the latest Chrome for Windows is 146.0.7680.80 @Jar11591 You're running Chrome 109.0.0.0 You need to update too. I'm going to close this thread now because the updated forums were released months ago and there are no further issues. In addition - and I cannot say this enough to everyone - as soon as you think something is wrong with the forums, assume it's something with your system. An outdated browser in this instance, but it could be anti-virus software, VPN, cache, and a host of other things on your local device.
  8. Anyone else having this issue? Particularly if you're on desktop.

  17. It would be unwarranted, because Cloudflare has nothing to do with blocking bots from logging in. Plus, I don't pay any bandwidth costs. So no, you don't know what costs the forums money. Might be best to stop guessing how the forum works.
  18. Explore how bass fishing rods and reels evolved over the past 30 years—from high-modulus carbon rods to high-speed reels—in BassResource’s 30th anniversary series. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/rod-reel-innovations.html
  19. No, those weren't AI bots. Those were real human spammers from Shanghai that I caught. I changed their names to "ImAspammer-xxx" or "ImAscammer-xxx" after banning them, and I deleted the PM's. Bots cannot sign up as members here. While I'm not at liberty to discuss the details, In essence, spammers and scammers are blocked from posting. So now they're using PM's to spread their garbage. And they're all humans. @bulldog1935 I know you hate it when people make incorrect assumptions about reels. Please be respectful and don't do the same to my forums.
  20. Well winter finally hit my area. We got 5" of snow at my house. It's widespread across the state. There's blizzard conditions in the mountains, closing all the passes. It's all good though. It will all go away tomorrow. Temps will be in the 60's later this week.
  21. Hmmmm....all I did was ask a question, because he literally repeated some of the things the article said, but made it sound like he had some insider info. Just a slight overreaction. Anyway, back to the article - it's about NEW information about bass species discovered through recent genetic testing. Some of what you thought you knew a few years ago...what was "known" by experts and biologists....was wrong.
  22. Think there are only 3 bass species? New genetic research reveals over a dozen black bass species including largemouth, Alabama, Neosho, and shoal bass. https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/bass-species.html
