  1. Winter is finally fading and pre-spawn is right around the corner – but the water is still cold and the bass can be stubborn. If you want a full step-by-step system for catching more bass BEFORE spring really arrives, this video lays it all out.
  2. This is somewhat of a rock-and-a-hard-place situation for us. BassResource isn’t designed to function as an image-hosting service, so we simply don’t have the storage capacity to support unlimited uncompressed image uploads. Large file sizes also create significantly longer load and download times, which can negatively impact the experience for other members. At the same time, relying on third-party hosting services for large images can create its own set of issues. When members upload very large externally hosted files, it forces others to download unnecessarily large images just to view a post, which can be frustrating. There are also long-term reliability concerns. In the past, we’ve seen members’ third-party hosting accounts lapse, which leaves broken images scattered throughout older threads. Similarly, some hosting platforms have shut down entirely or switched to subscription models for viewing images. When that happens, posts across the forum end up filled with missing images, which diminishes the value of those discussions for everyone. Because of these factors, I’m generally not in favor of using third-party image hosting services. However, allowing unlimited uncompressed image uploads on our servers isn’t feasible either. That is why I recommend resizing them at https://picresize.com/ If you're running into size restrictions. It can reduce the filesize with minimal impacts image quality - for free. You can download it and then post it here.
  3. The newer Suzuki Stealth Line isn’t just about looks. These aren’t obscure units — they’re common, mainstream outboards people buy and run because they deliver the performance and reliability people expect across the entire product line.

  6. Hey I'm glad it all worked out. Happy to have you back!
  7. Man that just blows! Of course it couldn't happen in the fall, right? Sorry you have to go through this, but hoping for a fast, successful recovery.
  8. As bass transition into pre-spawn and spawning patterns, Pat Schlapper breaks down the lures he trusts to locate fish fast and pick apart key cover for big bites.
  9. Well, if I'm reticent to throw an old-school bait, it's either because they don't make it anymore and I'm afraid of breaking/losing it (like the Herb's Dilly), or, in the case of plastics, I don't want to tear them up when I know other baits they still make will work. Once those plastics are done, they're gone. So I save them for specific situations. That said, I love throwing old-school lures because most anglers aren't; which means most bass haven't seen them. Here are my top choices:
  10. If you want to start your season confident, organized, and ready to catch more bass, this is the perfect checklist.

It is this bait: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_Skipping_Buzzbait/descpage-SKSZ.html?from=basres and it's designed to keep the wire from bending.

  18. No. This is why you need to keep your email updated. Thank you for your understanding. — Glenn
  19. Guys....I got a message today I replied And he said And THAT is the reason why I've said so many times here to CHECK YOUR EMAIL ON YOUR PROFILE AND ENSURE IT'S CURRENT! You better do that BEFORE you change or delete an email address (or let it expire), and change it to the updated email. Better yet, store your password somewhere safe so you don't have to use the "forgot password" feature when you have an expired email in your profile.
  20. Here's a couple of videos that point out what to look for. You may or may not be able to perform the work yourself.
  21. This video shares several “hidden” pre-spawn rigs and how to fish them the right way. If you’re ready to catch more (and often bigger) pre-spawn bass on baits they rarely see, give these rigs a try this spring.
  22. Thanks for watching. The pros that I record are giving away the juice! It just baffles me that the videos don't get many views. I suppose that really gives the guys who watch it a leg up.
  23. Anyone that's fished Santee Cooper knows that wind can be a big problem. Day 1 of the MLF Santee Cooper tournament was cancelled today due to high winds, and according to the DeepDive app, it's not looking too good tomorrow either. Notice at the bottom it shows you wind velocity and direction forecast by-the-minute. That's pretty dang sweet! Good luck to anyone fishing it. Stay safe!
