  1. I will not be going this year. The price for traveling there is nearly double from the last time I went. Too rich for my blood. Maybe if they scheduled it in a place where I could get a direct flight. Those multi-hop flights are just way too expensive now. I don't know how people do it.
  2. @casts_by_fly I'm a watch-the-game-at-a-loud-and-rowdy-bar kinda guy. My voice is thrashed right now! To the Vikings fans: Sorry. Sam Darnold stepped up this season and delivered, erasing any doubts and criticism lingering from last year. Turns out it wasn't Sam all along. That's gotta sting. I really do feel bad for you.
  3. It's only viewable by logged in, established members now. The reason is because we continue to get scammers targeting members in the Flea Market using this method. It happened yet again 2 days ago despite introducing several less-invasive measures over the past year designed to discourage them. So I had to make a change. If you're a logged-in, established member. You won't notice anything different. Non-logged in members, and new members - even if logged in - will not have access.
  4. Yes, "Seahawk" is a common nickname for Osprey. They are the same thing.
  5. Choosing the right rod is one of the most important decisions in bass fishing — and one of the most confusing. With endless powers, actions, materials, guide types, reel seats, and handle options, it’s hard to know what actually matters and when to use each type.
  6. Good night! (no, this isn't AI or Photoshop)
  7. Hey in case you didn't know a "Seahawk" isn't some fictional made-up name. It's a real bird of prey. And one flies around the stadium at every home pre-game ceremony, which the fans love! And now you can see why the logo looks like this:
  8. They blowd it up! Not my pic. I would've loved to hear that big boy go off!
  9. 21-19. What game were you watching? And while they lost that game, they also held the Rams offense and quarterback Matthew Stafford to one of their worst games of the season. They also saw from quarterback Sam Darnold and the offense an impressive level of resilience to get back in the game after four interceptions allowed the Rams to take a big lead. And even with those four turnovers and one of the best punts you'll ever see, which caused the Seahawks to start a potential game-winning drive at their own 1-yard line, the Seahawks still had a 61-yard field goal attempt to win it (which they missed). They since went on to win every game, one of them against the Rams to win the #1 seed. That last game against the Rams was an inflection point for the Hawks. They found their groove in all 3 phases, winning three subsequent games in dominant fashion by a combined 81-19. Meanwhile, the Rams barely squeezed out their last 2 games by a field goal each time. The crowd noise in Chicago made it difficult for the Rams defense to communicate. They can't prepare for what's going to greet them at Lumen field. When they sold out the seats, they sold standing-room only tickets. It will be the largest, loudest crowd ever.
  10. So this happened on the way to the lake today.... And on the way back.... They said they're going to break it up by blasting it. Nobody was hit by or hit it. Nobody injured.
  11. I'm having lamb chops for dinner tomorrow.
  12. My hookset is dictated by the cover, technique, and hook size I'm fishing. My rod/reel/line combination matches that.
  13. Thanks guys! I couldn't have done it without the great folks on these forums!
  14. You can still do that. The embed feature now asks if you want the image or link when you post a URL, so be sure to select the option you want. Copy-n-paste works as well as dragging and dropping in the area at the bottom of the editor when you're creating a post. Yes, established members can delete/edit posts, but only immediately after posting. If you delay, then it's permanent. If you're new, you can't delete/edit. It's been that way for at least a decade. It's amazing how much more civil people became when I implemented that feature.
  15. We've had an unusually dry and warm 2 weeks here. Forecasted to be sunny and 45 today. Low 50's by this weekend. This is January, right?

  19. This video breaks down the most effective winter lures. Learn how to fish each one for lethargic cold-water bass, when to pause, and how to modify baits. Discover why fluorocarbon line, subtle presentations, and fishing near key pre-spawn structure can make or break your winter day on the water. Stay patient, fish smart, and get ready to catch more cold-water bass.
  20. The best way to keep them from melting is to get rid of them! Seriously. There are so many brands of quality plastics out there that there's no reason to deal with that hot mess. I threw all mine away years ago and never looked back!
  21. Bassmaster Elite Pro Brian Schmitt kicks off his Four Seasons of Neko Rigging series by diving into cold water tactics. Learn how he targets wintering bass around bait, adjusts his setup based on depth and cover, and maximizes his success using the Neko rig all season long.
