Who's the hardest core angler at Bass Resource?
I appreciate the kind words—thank you. That really means a lot. I’ve never been big on ranking anglers or comparing myself to others. In my mind, anyone who picks up a rod, keeps learning, and enjoys being on the water has the potential to be “the best” in their own way. What I do take pride in is helping people catch more fish, understand the why behind what they’re doing, and enjoy the sport a little more each time they go out. If anything I’ve shared over the years has helped someone do that, then I’m grateful to be part of it. There are a lot of incredibly knowledgeable and passionate anglers here, and that’s what really makes BassResource special.

https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bass-hartwell-classic-22426.html I'll tell you what. If you ever want to win a Classic, then just fish your butt off at the same 5 places they always go to, and get really good at fishing them. B.A.S.S. just cannot fathom the idea of going somewhere new. LOL

Cold water bladed jig trailer
Dudes, seriously. We've had about dozen or so threads like this. They all ask what trailer to use. They all end up the same: EVERYTHING works! There's another thread like this going on right now. C'mon guys, how many times do you need to keep asking what trailer to use on a chatterbait?? It's getting comical.

Seaguar R18
Yep, I've been using 14lb for Senkos and am loving it! Now I'm comparing it to 15lb Tatsu for the same purpose, so that says something. I find it's supple, casts exceptionally well, and its abrasion resistance is impressive. I want more.

Sad day in puerto Vallarta
No doubt that's very unnerving for you. A friend of mine lives there as well, and they're further away from the violence. Nonetheless, they're hunkering down at least for the next several days. Stay safe Amigo!

New Video!! Don’t Fish Early Spring Without These!
Spring is almost here—but the water is still cold, the fish are just starting to slide shallow, and most anglers are still throwing the wrong baits. In this video, Glenn breaks down his go-to lures for that late-winter / early-spring window when water temps are still in the 40s to low 50s and bass are just beginning their transition toward the flats. If your lakes are still cold and you’re sitting in that “almost spring, but not quite” window, these are the baits that will get you bit right now.

Hey everyone, Because our forum is as active and visible as it is, it naturally attracts attention from spammers and scammers. While our moderator team does an excellent job keeping that noise out, we also rely on automated systems to help flag potential issues. If one of your posts is held for moderator approval, it simply means our system detected something that might need a quick review. It doesn’t mean you violated any rules or did anything wrong—just that a moderator needs to take a look before it goes live. Moderators receive automatic notifications for every post that’s flagged, so there’s no need to send a PM about it. Someone will review it as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for your patience, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to keep the forum clean and enjoyable for everyone. Glenn

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, and The Race For The Pennant Is On!
Mariners are looking pretty good right now, coming just one win away from the World Series. Can Seattle bring home a pennant the same year as the Super Bowl victory? That would be incredible. I don't know if a city has ever done that within the same year before. Crazy to think that might happen!

Road To the Superbowl 2027
Teams are furiously hiring/firing coaching staff in hopes of making a run at the Super Bowl. The combine and draft are right around the corner. Will your team make it into the playoffs? My Seahawks took the top of the mountain and won it all the last Super Bowl, but can they do it again? The coaching staff has been pilfered, the franchise is on the auction block, and players want to be PAID! So it's an upstream battle to make it to the championship again. It will be a fight against strong headwinds. Time will tell if they can do it again. What about your team? Who are you rooting for? Let's hear it!!

Unfortunately I had to close this thread due to disparaging comments regarding products from various countries. Several posts were edited or removed, and one member banned per his request. We do not allow posts that frame product quality as inherently inferior based on country of manufacture. That applies to Mexico, China, the U.S., or anywhere else. Comments framed that way consistently lead to country- and people-based disparagement, and we do not allow that here. Editing posts to remove policy-violating language while preserving the useful technical content is standard moderation practice on this site and has been for years. Winter Olympics
I like the bobsledding and luge. Maybe a little of the freestyle stuff and long jump too. But every time I turn on the TV, it's ice dancing and downhill skiing. I'd rather watch reruns of Matlock.

The Rod Locker
Owning and running a business requires a wide range of skill sets. Some people excel at customer service, others at management. Some are exceptional at booking and finance, while others shine in program or project management. Great leaders understand their own strengths and weaknesses and build teams around them—bringing in people whose skills complement where they may fall short. That said, even with the right skills, success also depends on the right fit. Retail, for example, isn’t for everyone. A person’s talents and personality may be better suited for marketing, engineering, or any number of other career paths. Separate from skill sets, some people are simply a pleasure to be around. They get along with others easily and are genuinely good people. I’ve never personally interacted with the gentlemen running the Rod Locker, but they sound like good guys. That alone doesn’t determine whether retail is the right fit for them. Time will tell how things unfold. For now, let’s avoid rushing to judgment and allow the situation to develop on its own.
