2020 Bassmaster Classic Location
There are several rumors swirling around about the location of the 2020 Bassmaster Classic. Birmingham seems to be the leading candidate right now. Has anyone heard of any other locations?

Hate PWC's? Well, this might change your mind.
If you think of it as merely another bass boat, you're missing the point.

Been gone a while but.
That's a huge fish! Congrats!

First time I'm going to be spooling a reel up with straight fluorocarbon, anything I should know?
From the sounds of your post, it appears you've done your homework and know what you're doing. It's not a major deal, so don't overthink it too much. I use straight fluoro as well - no backing, no leaders. Keep it simple. I use the uni-knot on everything and never had any issues whatsoever. So you don't need to use any special knots either. Have fun!

If you get 10 good strikes on a plastic, how many do you expect to land?
If I get 10 bites on a plastic, I expect to land all 10. Period. I use FC, braid, and co-poly most of the time with zero knot failures or line breakage. While ensuring your equipment is balanced is key to success, often the issue with losing fish isn't the equipment at all. About 2 years ago, I was having some issues with losing fish until I adjusted my hookset. No problems ever since. Simply put, I was jerking with just my arms, and now I step back and use my upper body too. So if you're losing fish, and your equipment is balanced, look at what you're doing (hookset, horsing them in, swinging heavy fish, etc) and you might find an easy answer.

Why won’t this lure swim right?
That's designed to run shallow. It's a short bill, and the line tie is on the body, not towards the end of the bill. So yes, it will "hunt" shallow - that's a good thing. You want an erratic crankbait because they illicit sometimes vicious strikes. I'd use a #1 snap, rather than tying directly. That will help it run to it's full potential.

Look at all them boats!
Ha! Funny, I've had several of my social posts copied recently. Not sure what that's all about.

Well, I don't know what OGF is, so I'm going to say "no".

The Rustrictor Tacklebox
The new Rustrictor tacklebox by Plano. It inhibits rust from forming on your baits by surrounding tackle with rust-preventing VCI from all angles, creating 360 degrees of complete protection. The oderless corrosion inhibitor actually embedded into the plastic material. It not only protects your hooks from rust, but if you stow the boxes with your reels, it protects them too! https://www.planomolding.com/fishing/stowaway-utility-boxes/rustrictor-series

Judging fish by pics
A-Jay, I wasn't specifically calling you or anyone out. Apologies if it came out that way. I was speaking more of "that guy" who you usually see on social media, or on other forums... whenever somebody posts a nice fish, he immediately says it's photoshopped, or held wrong, or.... does whatever in an attempt to discredit the catch.

Judging fish by pics
Yup. There's an infamous photo/Thumbnail of a well-known YouTuber on one of his more popular videos holding up a monster fish. He told me it was a 2 pounder, but he held it up close to his GoPro in wide-angle mode to make it look like a 7-pounder so more people would click on his video. On the other end of the spectrum, I caught a 9-pounder, and in the pictures it looks every bit a 5'er! LOL Point of this thread is - there's absolutely NO WAY you can accurately tell how big a fish is simply by a picture. Y'all can complain about holding the fish out, selfies, using special lenses, photoshopped, etc. But it all doesn't matter. You'll never know even if the photo is shot exactly to your preferences. So stop worrying about it. Stop dumping on people because you think the photo is gamed somehow, and instead just congratulate them on catching a nice fish. Because fishing is, after all, supposed to be fun!
