  1. I never use leaders. Straight 50lb Seaguar Kanzen line for froggin' works flawlessly for me.
  2. Goodyear Endurance. *mic drop* I have them on my trailer. Class D tires. Rated for higher speeds. Resistance to cuts and punctures, better at high temps.... Yep, good stuff.
  3. Wish I could tell you guys...but I can't.
  4. There's weren't a lot of boats on it either when I fished it last November. Perhaps 3 boats. That's when I got to fish out of the new SeaDoo Fishing Pro watercraft. Neat lake!
  5. I never use leaders. The knots are just another point of failure, and they don't go through the guides well (I use mini guides). The line casts as well as co-poly. Really smooth without any issues for me. I also use it for frog fishing too.
  6. I've been using the 50lb for flipping/pitching around flooded willows and bushes, and yanking 4-pounders out of them without any problems. Casts well, holds up well, good knot strength. What are your concerns?

Yup. Just a few weeks ago somebody was asking about storing hooks and baits without getting them corroded and rusted. Plano must have been listening.

Just got these. Looking forward to loading up these bad boys. These tackle boxes fight back against rust and corrosion in addition to organizing your tackle. https://www.planomolding.com/fishing/stowaway-utility-boxes/rustrictor-series
  9. How many times have you seen fish on your graph, tossed in a line, and not caught anything? Did you blame your Lowrance or Humminbird unit? Just sayin'
  10. I give credit to @.ghoti. for introducing me to that!
  11. It's near full pool right now. T-Mobile coverage is no problem. Since this is your first time, I'd recommend fishing the face of the dam, and the Linde Coulee area. You can't get lost there, and there are plenty of fish to be caught. Just don't run your boat between the big island and the dam. It's very shallow and rocky, and you could hit a rockpile. But that area holds a lot of fish, so don't hesitate to fish it on your trolling motor. The area around the entrance to Lind Coulee is a good place to start. There's a small island and rocky shorelines all around. They all hold fish, so you can't make a bad cast. Just keep working your way back in, and you'll connect. You can also launch at the M street launch and start fishing at the bridge, go underneath, and cast away! It's a target-rich environment. Hope that helps!
  12. I use the Smith's Diamond Combo Sharpening Stone - and here's how I use it to often get hooks sharper than they were when they were brand new.
  13. Absolutely nothing. I've been doing it that way for 30+ years without any issues, except for one: my boat tie-down rachets failed once, allowing the boat to "bounce" on the trailer. The transom saver took the sacrifice and gave it's life to save the motor. So unless you don't have your boat secured to the trailer properly (which you should do already), you'll never have an issue.
  14. I gave up on FC line due to line breaks, knots unraveling, and overall low abrasion resistance. Then I tried Tatsu and InsizX. What game-changers! Seriously. I'm not just saying this because they're a sponsor. But rather, they became a sponsor because I was so impressed with their lines. I was a P-Line/Suffix guy before I tried Seaguar. (And I still use Yo-Zuri copoly because Seaguar doesn't make copoly line.) The line doesn't have the memory, abrasion, or knot issues I found in other FC brands, plus the sensitivity is noticeably better. Turns out, Seaguar invented FC fishing line. And they're the only ones that make their own FC resin specifically for fishing, so they can control the quality and manufacturing all the way through to final product. All the rest buy general-purpose resin from third parties that's made for a wide variety of purposes. Makes sense they're top shelf.
  15. ^^ Couldn't say it any better than that ^^ We are with you.
  16. ^^ This ^^ Caught 25 5-pounders in 4 hours doing that on Lake Toho while on vacation.

Going into the draft, the Seahawks had 4 picks. When it was over, they picked 11. I'd say they did alright.
  19. I use Northstar AGM 31's. They're pricy, so take a deep breath before looking. But they're beasts.
