Classic Meet Up?
Let's not go down that path guys. They have strict schedules for booth appearances they must adhere to. As much as they want to stay for their fans, they can't meet their contractual obligations if they do. It's a tough spot to be in. Hank Parker is a seasoned pro, and has more experience at trade shows than most of them. So he's learned a few ways to gracefully exit quickly when he needs to go to another appearance.

Interview with Gary Yamamoto
That's for cutting out wind noise. I had just been outside interviewing somebody, when I was literally pulled indoors for this unexpected interview. I went in completely unprepared! But growing up on the West coast certainly helped me pull a few questions out of my hat!

Favorite Braid For Frogging & Flipping ?
50 pound Seaguar Smackdown is what I use. Never had any problems with breakoffs, fading, fraying, or wind knots. This is simply amazing braided line!

How would you store your tackle?
I have the Plano Z-Series tackle bags and backpack. They're 100% waterproof, and durable for shore fishing. They come with Plano boxes too (all-in-one). You can get the waterproof, sealed Plano boxes if you want, but I find these are just fine without them. Everything stays dry. So there's no need to spend any more $$. https://www.planomolding.com/fishing/fish-series/z-series

Classic Meet Up?
Those "records" are HIGHLY questionable. They count you every time you enter a door. So when you went from one building to the other, you were counted twice. So everyone was counted at least twice. If you were there all 3 days, and went into each building only once, you were counted 6 times. Even higher if you entered several times, left for lunch and came back, went out for a smoke break, or to see the outdoor exhibits, etc. I think Keri and I were counted at least 20 times each day. I once heard the gal hit the clicker 4x when we walked in without anyone near us. Oh! And then you were counted again when you went to the weigh-in. If you went to the show and the weigh-in all three days? You're officially 9 people. So those "record" numbers are, ummm..., record clicks instead. Kinda like how people used to measure "hits" on websites. Meaningless numbers, and grossly exaggerated. I'd say Birmingham a few years ago had higher attendance. Looking forward to it!

Please educate me on general bass forum
"Generally" speaking, most people click the "view new content" link on the upper right, which shows all the latest posts, regardless of what forum they're posted. So it's a misnomer that a post is viewed more often if it's posted in one forum vs. another. But we do like to keep a clean house. So please read the forum descriptions and do your best to post in the appropriate forums. Thanks! Glenn

Camping accessory opinions, please
^^ Same ^^ That's what I went with. Works well. You need an electric inflator though. Also, works well for truck camping too.

Vexus fiberglass boat reveal 3-15
I looked at it - not thoroughly - and the only things that stood out to me were the storage compartment in the trailer step (it's NOT waterproof! Has an open grate for the bottom), the rod holders for the passenger are a different design, and the non-carpeted floor (which isn't new in the boating world). Other than that...it's a bass boat. Nothing really makes it any different that I could see. Hard to tell if the build is any better than the competition.

Long Lake, WA
I haven't fished that lake since I was a kid. But like any other lake I fish for the first time without knowing anything about it, I'd start fishing the main lake and secondary points until I connect with fish. Then refine from there.

What, have you been stalking me? LOL! Y'all got some nice houses 'round here.

Classic Meet Up?
I'd be careful about that. Most of those backpackin' folks are media. So they've been cleared by security. We'll look for you, but from what I saw today, based upon past experience with narrow aisles....Saturday and Sunday will be P-A-C-K-E-D with people, and I mean jammed elbow-to-elbow. Hard to find a bright green shirt in that mess. I'm wearing the Jersey in my avatar. Hard to miss, but again, easy to miss, given the crowd. Step up and say hi if you see me!

Serious question: Did Satan invent braided fishing line?
I get the tongue-n-cheek tone of the OP's message. It's not really a "religious" post, so... I've always said, braid is not a silver bullet, and should never be used as an all-purpose line. It's not. It definitely has it's place and purpose, but it's not for everything. I use Seaguar Smackdown for heavy cover situations such as flipping/pitching, and froggin'...sometimes big swimbaits too. And I love that line! But really that's it. I won't use it for finesse and crankbaits, for example. I need a line that has more stretch in those cases - and is less bouyant - such as Seaguar Tatsu or InvisX fluorocarbon line. Those are terrific lines for those applications! I could go on, but suffice to say, every type of line - fluoro, braid, mono, and copoly - has it's place and time. They're all tools that fit the proper applications. There is no "one size fits all". Properly matching your line, reel, and rod for each technique will greatly improve your catch ratio.

Hey guys. Sorry to lock this, but there's a technical glitch on this thread causing posts to go into moderator cue for no reason.

All my tackle got rusty
Plano JUST introduced the new Rustrictor line of tackleboxes. I'm so glad I can finally talk about them! They have an oderless chemical embedded in the plastic and inhibits rust on your lures. This should solve your problem once and for all.

Bent treble hooks
It's all about having a balanced system - rod, reel, line... it's not ONE thing (like drag setting). When paired and balanced properly, they work together as a system. I explain it better in this video:
