  2. Spring fishing is here, and April is the perfect time to target bass as they spawn, pre-spawn, or recover. Here are the top six baits guaranteed to catch bass anywhere in the country during this exciting time of year. These six baits are versatile and effective no matter where you fish.
  3. To be fair, I lip anything that's over 5lbs. Moreso because I don't want the hook to pull out, not because I fear the line breaking.
  4. Yep, I always grab my line.
  5. This topic has already been covered
  6. I'm not a fan. One of the key characteristics of tube baits is that they collapse when the fish bites them, thus feeling more natural. This contraption looks like a rock with a rubber over it. I mean, seriously, when they bite it, it's a solid object now. Kinda defeats the purpose.
  7. I heard that another guy talked to another guy that said he saw somebody say that..... Geeze. Is this really the best use of your time guys? The gossip and rumor train is crazy-stupid full of commentary, accusations, and opinions. Everyone wants a click. <--- Don't you have some lures to buy?
  8. Quiet, powerful, unstoppable — that’s Stealth mode. https://bit.ly/3JwENtp
  9. A lot of juicy information here: And for the record, I just got a new set of Goodyear Endurance on my Ranger 2 weeks ago.
  10. Now THAT'S a birthday present! Happy birthday!
  11. Unfortunately there's a lot of gullible people out there.

  14. It's carbon for the baitcasters, not the spinning. I have the spinning rod.
  15. If you don't have any friends, colleagues, or relatives, then go ahead. Drown. Nobody will notice. Otherwise, pull your man pants on and wear the dang life vest! And quit yer whining!

  20. He's no longer fishing tournaments. Anything beyond that is unsubstantiated rumors and speculation. If you like that sorta thing, go ask RB about him.
  21. I've been using straight 6lb Tatsu on all my spinning reels (2500's, no braid) for years without any breakoffs or lost fish. I use it for all finesse applications plus small topwaters and hover rigs. It's the real deal.
  22. Well guys, thank you for the kind words. I do appreciate it! I don't know, fishing in front of a camera...working on this site....I've been doing it for so long I don't even realize I'm doing it, if that makes sense. It's just what I do. I enjoy helping others improve their fishing, so I'm delighted to hear success stories! As for "the hardest" fishing...night fishing would be my kryptonite. My casting accuracy goes out the window, and I get hung up on the darndest things! On the other end of the spectrum, I feel quite comfortable fishing gin-clear water. Watching how the fish react and seeing them hit my lure, it's like topwater fishing but underwater. But man! There are some serious sticks on this site that I'd relish the opportunity to fish with. Everyone has a unique style of fishing that I could learn from!
  23. Unlock early spring bass with Roger Fitzpatrick’s go-to tactics! From Alabama rigs to jig fishing docks, learn how to follow bass as they migrate shallow around the magic 50-degree mark. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/early-spring-patterns-big-bass.html
