Guys I gotta tell ya - I just fished a tournament where I caught 28lbs, all on G-Mans's jigs! Not one of them was under 3 lbs. It was fun! I'm a believer now. Thanks Mike, for becoming a sponsor and for making such great fish-catching products!

Use a 3-way swivel. Tie a 2' leader on one end and tie on a 2 ounce weight. Then tie a 12" leader on the other, which is where the crankbait goes. Drop the rig down and troll with your trolling motor. Hang on!

It's not over yet. You were a witness. Expect to be harassed by insurance agencies, lawyers, law enforcement agencies, and the state department of transportation - and you might be sued yourself. I know. I was a witness to a head-on collision a little over a year ago. What ensued was an endless barrage of phone calls, affidavits, recorded testimonies, forms, and the multiple "oh we lost the recording of your previous interview, can we do it again" phone calls (designed to see if you changed your story), that amounted to nothing more than full-on harassment. I was even warned I might be named in one of the several pending lawsuits (I never was). I finally refused to cooperate any further; at which point the calls, emails, and snail mail finally stopped. I felt really bad for the victims, but I also became a victim myself. Lesson learned. I won't be making the same mistake again. Just thought I'd warn you for what's about to happen.

Ok Hatrix, your proof of divers hooking fish is because your dad says so? If you have legitimate proof, then show it. Otherwise, quit making stuff up. As for Bill Dance - his shows generally take 3 days to shoot. Most are on well-managed farm ponds. Hope that clears things up.

Deet is the best, period. I personally tested it for a week in Alaska's mosquito infested tundra. Trust me, they won't land on you (but they'll buzz very closely). Of course, you have to apply it on EVERYTHING (don't forget your head) for it to work. 2nd best: Repel. I haven't tried thermacell, but I understand it works very well.

I think you may end up with a list of everyone's favorites. So instead of mentioning brand names, I'll just be generic: 6" plastic worms 3" and 4" tubes 3/4 oz white spinnerbaits 3/8oz grass and football head jigs 5" Senko-type baits 1/2 oz Rat-L-Traps (or similar baits) Jerkbaits 1/2 oz white buzzbaits That should do it. You've got the entire water column and fish activity levels covered with those lures.

I say "Go For It!" You never know what you'll create or how successful it will be unless you do it. I mean, seriously - one day Gary Yammamoto was staring at a Bic pen and decided to create a bait in that shape. He had no clue that it would have that enticing wiggle - the one fish just can't resist - until he created it and played around with the bait. So just do it and see what happens! Good luck!
