Fishing with our senator
@ol'crickety You are amazing! A true ambassador of the sport and outdoors. You must have friends in high places. How did you manage that gig? Wouldn't it be awesome to have BR ambassadors across Canada and the U.S. to take local and regional officials fishing?

What's your best bassin' skill? And your worst?
Best: It's a tie between spinnerbait fishing and pitching T-Rigs and jigs. I'm pretty dang accurate at getting into some impossible spots with a 10-point Olympic diver entry. I'm just not fast at it. Some guys can reel up and recast in one swift move. That ain't me! I mean, I can do it, but accuracy and presentation go out the window. Worst: Fishing large swimbaits, larger than 6". Just the thought of heaving 2-4 ounce baits all day makes my arms sore!

Buyer’s Guide For 2024 Trolling Motors https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/trolling-motor-buyer-guide.html- JDM Line
- Balance
My thing is that I've been fishing for decades with boats that have pedestal seats and trolling motor foot pedals ON the deck of the boat (not recessed). When recessed pedals became popular, I considered recessing mine....until I tried it on a friend's boat that had one. I realized I couldn't reach it while leaning on the pedestal seat. Big problem. I use that seat for balance. Not so much for "sitting". So I tried standing while using the pedal, and felt like I was going to fall overboard any minute. So I didn't recess my pedal. I still fish "old school", meaning I still have the seat and non-recessed pedal on my boat that uses cable steering (no powerhead). No big deal, right? I mean, I'm not doing it the "modern" or "popular" way - no seat and a recessed pedal...but it works for me. Fast-forward to the days when I go out with a pro to shoot videos of him. It's commonplace he'll launch me in his boat while he parks the truck (even though I always offer to launch them...must be a "thing" with pros. I don't know.) So there I am in their boat, and now I have to operate their PowerPole/Lowrance/Garmin etc. trolling motor with a power head and no seat to lean on. Well....thing is, they all have recessed pedals and no pedestal seat. Combine that with the trolling motor is almost always on high, and a new-fangled high-tech trolling motor with a powerhead (I have zero experience), and .... well.... next thing you know, I've fallen on me knees and am now trying to control the trolling motor with my hands! And failing miserably! Soooo dang embarrassing! Geeze, I don't know what it is, but I just can't get the hang of standing without leaning on a seat while using a recessed trolling motor. And I haven't used the powerhead motors enough to get the hang of them. Plus those new ones usually have a digital readout somewhere that shows the power setting (seems they're always in a different place), so I don't know what it's set at until it's trying to hurl me off the deck of the boat! LOL Ya...I look like amateur hour at the comedy club. I'm surprised I haven't fallen overboard yet.- Doing your business on the water (#1 and #2...)
- Final tube question - what is the difference in action between these two jigheads?

Many, many warnings posted in the Flea Market explain it. Few read and heed the warnings. So they're surprised when they no longer have access. Read the warnings and follow them guys. It's all explained in full detail there, so I'm not going to re-hash them here. and scene....- Just posted another video!
