Suzuki DF150A(P) or DF150SS
Sorry I missed this. The SS is the better option for you. It's the engine of choice for bass boats.

I can't delete photos.
Nope, you can't do that anymore. When you delete photos, it leaves broken images all over the forums from every post where you used the images. In other words, it doesn't delete the posts, just the images. Huge mess. Huge, huge, mess. Best thing you can do is reduce your image size to less than 100k before uploading. You'd be hard pressed to run out of storage room, and your images will still look fine.

Low Stretch Fluorocarbon
FC line stretch is one of the most over-hyped things in fishing, next to YouTubers. LOL Ya, it has some stretch compared to braid or mono, but it's not a rubber band, like some people make it sound. I've been using Seaguar InivizX for single-hook applications for many years without any issues.

R.I.P. Ghoti
Same here. I touch base with him several times a year, usually for 1-2hrs. I'm going to miss those conversations. I've also fished with him several times.

Wife and I had a fantastic Argentinian steak dinner tonight. Now I'm at home enjoying an espresso martini by the fire.

The latest sale thread
Well, yes the industry is treading water right now. But it's not due to the current economy. This has been in the works for the past 4 years, if not longer. Covid exasperated it. Ya...about that....I wouldn't say they're going out of business, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jarden had a fire sale.

How heavy is she?
Looks to be in the 8-10 pound range. Probably closer to 10. That said, I used to have a "guess the weight" contest where I posted a photo of the fish, and you had to guess the correct weight in order to be entered for the random drawing to win lures, reels, etc. So the prizes were good enough for folks to really try to guess an accurate weight. WOW were they all over the place, and very, very few would be correct. You'd expect a bell-curve-like pattern with the guesses, but nope! It was random time-after-time, however it usually skewed on the lower side. Seems pics tend to make fish lose weight. I think I held 10 or so of those contests and still have the data from them all. One day I'll post the findings. I think the folks that post a real lunker, only to have Internet warriors claim the fish looks bigger than it is because of (insert reason here) deserve retribution.

if you are a couple of months from retiring, do you keep kickingass at work?
Once you're in your final few years and up to your last day, I feel it's your job to position your peers and direct reports for success. Line them up on that runway and get them off the ground, pointed in the right direction. You do that by setting up scalable, repeatable processes while mentoring and passing your knowledge/experience forward. You can hang your hat on that and walk away proud of the job you did.

They are listening to us . Internet Ads
It's not just Google. Ever heard of Hotjar, ClickTale, and ContentSquare? Those are the tip of the iceberg. And Adobe Analytics makes GA look like child's play. Then there are the server logfiles, which don't use anything you can "block". It's easy to set up a daily upload of server logfiles into Big Query, and then pull that data into GA...and viola! There you are despite any sort of "blocking" you think you're doing. But does that mean it's all bad? Nope. Not at all. All the tools I mentioned above are used by site admins to help them understand what's working and what's not working for users. These tools identify opportunities for improving the user experience. They do that by aggregating and anonymizing the data so it can be looked at in aggregate. Then, trends and patterns surface. You need large volumes of visits in order for the data to be statistically relevant. So if you spend 10 mins longer on a page than everyone else, nobody cares. They're not looking at outliers. They're not looking at what YOU did per se, but rather what the majority of visitors did. And to do that, they must look at it from the 30,000' level. An individual visit/session is meaningless. So nobody is watching YOU to the point you need to be concerned somebody out there is actually paying attention to you personally. But the people who want you to download their snake oil blockers will tell you otherwise.

They are listening to us . Internet Ads
Well, not unless you're logged into your Google account on a device that can listen while you also have Alexa turned on. Alexa is a competitor to Google Home. They are not the same nor are they connected. -------------------------------- Funny y'all haven't conjured up conspiracy theories about chatGPT yet, because, yes, it uses everything you enter into it - everything. It's all public. So if you're uploading spreadsheets to do analytics, all that data is now in the public domain. Just one example. But I know people are uploading confidential company data without realizing it becomes public immediately. There's a real risk your private data could inadvertently become public this way. Speaking of chatGPT and OpenAI, what a blowup over the weekend! Holy smokes! And it looks like Microsoft is making a major power move to take it over. Which means, if successful, Microsoft will own all the data in chatGPT. Think about THAT! Confused yet? I get it. Just know this: when people don't understand technology, they jump to conclusions and make up stuff so it makes sense to them. So beware of the random statements people make. There's plenty of misinformation to go around.

They are listening to us . Internet Ads
You realize ads are why this site is free for you, right? Seems like a minuscule price to pay for something that doesn't affect you at all. ------------ If you have an Android phone, then you have a Google account. Yes, it can hear what's being said, and Google ads can then target you regardless of what device you're on as long as you're logged into your Google account. OH! And Google owns Youtube too, so the ads will appear there too. That explains a lot fer y'all.

Website acting odd or my iPhone
My comment was more of a tongue-in-cheek, ribbing you kind of comment. Wasn't meant to sound negative. I appreciate your feedback. It helps troubleshoot. Your screenshots indicate it's a problem with the Google ads not loading correctly. There's not much I can do about that because it's all on Google's servers. I appreciate that, and no, you didn't sound like that at all. And you're right, some people seem to get all riled up when we mention a sponsor's name. They seem to forget sponsors make this site free. Without their support, this site wouldn't be possible. We keep the spam down so y'all don't get bombarded with all kinds of crap (and it happens several times a week). Only partners that support YOUR site are allowed to advertise. So ya, they've earned the right to be promoted here. The Horror!! In addition - and I cannot say this enough to everyone - as soon as you think something is wrong with the forums, assume it's something with your system. An outdated browser, could be anti-virus software, VPN, cache, and a host of other things on your local device.

Nothing new, and nothing malicious. It's just ads. Entertaining how the conspiracy theorists try really hard to make it seem sinister to no avail.

If this is news to him, then he hasn't been paying attention. We have dozens of articles about sponsorship and pro bass fishing on this site. NONE of this is new by any stretch of the imagination.
