  1. I only fish on days ending with a Y
  2. Hey Catt: These initials mean anything to you: ADD I don't use buzz baits, never really got to like them, on one and 3 agree. HOWEVER: From late July to August, there are 2 weedy flats around here One is in 12 ft of water COONTAIL the other 8 ft Some kind of Hydrilla type weeds and lilly pads Produce big time, larger fish , AT NIGHT on top. I will be spending more time this year, jigging them and some deeper plastics, to see how I do at night, with this approach, which is how I fish them in the day. From what I have learned they should also work at night also.
  3. Thanks anyway. There was a booklet, somewhere in 75. I had it and left it in a drum bag of all things. I would love to get that back as it ruins the complete collection. This is the only collection of anything I have. I don't have those older mags in tact, justy the first 4 years, I thought thats what you meant
  4. So you're telling me that you shout at the top of your lungs so everyone on the lake can hear you and spit all over the deck of your boat whenever you catch fish? If so, please video tape it and post a link ;D If I can figure out the video mode, on the camera Elaine bought me YOURE ON!!!!!!
  5. I have the first 4 years, Which are yours? What Editions and numbers? Under your name? Do you have a way of getting that formula to success booklet, that came with the first year, lost mine in New Orleans :-[ It was a booklet, came with 1st edition something like Fish+Location+Presentation=?
  6. Hey Dan; Being a North East Italian American; I can tell you that I am usually amped on a daily basis, as most my friends. I am passionate about everything I am into; you have seen it get me jammed up here. :-? I don't know Iaconelli from a can of baked beans, but come fish in a boat with me, I yell for every bite, yet alone fish. You can check that with Zel,Sharkbite and Long Mike I have fished with them all. Culturally we are raised to express ourselves, and to do it loudly! I remember fondly, dinner every Sunday, at Grandparents house and it was like eating in center field, Ebbets Field.I don't see him as being an actor, I see him coming from similar roots .
  7. Sorry, i thought that it was closer, wouldn't hurt to talk with Tommy, just the same
  8. Hey Micro: contact Burley, he can put you in touch with the Beast, thats what kind of shop he has and products he sells! Not a far drive fronm you either!
  9. Muddy replied to mike304's topic in Fishing Tackle
Mann's Elite Wakers, my first year with them, great results Cabelas June Bug: I realized when I put it on, NO COMPETITION WITH THE JITTERBUG, go to a 5/8 ounce Jitterbug ( my favorite is Black) Walking the dog bait of your choice, also good results I am sooner or later going to try a MS Slammer type bait , as soon as I hear from LBH, that is! Here is one , with a Manns still in it's mouth THANKS FOR THAT BAIT MICRO:
  10. Excellent point! The meeting we went to , with the fish commision was trying to figure out it they should Target the whole population over 12 inches ( current reg. 15 inch min.) Go to a slot Increase the creel limit and go to 12 inches There was mixed data on the results in similar bodies of water. They have had some very positive results with the increased creel limits over 12 inches, for a fixed number of years. It is not totally neutral. If you take one and one stays, the sex of the fish, if you can get enough of a dent to lower survival rate of a years class of reproducing fish, you can prevent the overpopulation, I did not realize, that they are not only trying to please the folks looking for trophies, but over population can lead to a problem with certain diseases and hurt other fish populations in the lake
  11. Hey when I am home, I fish all around bays and inlets of Brooklyn and the Island, needless to say they all go back. Next season, I am gonna give Prospect park Lake a shot, right in Brooklyn!
  12. They're in Finland. That is worthy!!!!!!!!!
  13. Wow, that was brutal, Thanks Moby! Wonder if he threw the belt on the blower, it looks intact, but what happened to the head??? I can't wait for .ghoti. to see this, he works for John Deere!
  14. Hey Crestliner; Have you ever tried the Slider Weedless jig head? I have been using this , with a small *** Brush Bug, on ponds I can punch through the weeds, only dinks so far, I am going to switch up to the larger bug, next time out
  15. Yea, they should rename it THE PRISTINE STATE
  16. I really want to answer this: but Glenn would ban me for life
  17. No outcast is cool, now outhouse , then we need to talk
  18. I only fish Pflueger, and this reel is crap. The spool tension knob is the primary cast control, I would not touch anything beneath a Trion, which is all I use, many have gone to the Patriarch Trions are 100 bucks new/ found used for 45 and are great and dependable reels.
  19. NOT ONE TOOL COMMERCIAL EITHER
  20. C and R, was really started by Scott and BASS. when all those early pics of Mann,Dance and Linder were coming out with huge stringers of dead bass. Then the tournaments were definitely depleting the lakes they were fished on, it was good ecology and good business for the pros to go this route Then we have the big bass guys, who are all about CandR , to the point if any of us other fisherman talk about keeping one, they go on like I sold my kid to an alien spaceship. I have eaten fillets off an 8 lb bass, tasted no different then the smaller ones. Killing an occasional fish, even in a pond is no big deal, and may just help that body of water out in the long run
  21. .22 short revolver, place barrel between the eyes, squeeze trigger. Make fish cakes ;D
  22. I use a duo lock snap, NO SWIVEL; This is what I use , by Cabelas: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/standard-pod-wrapped.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20293&rid=&indexId=cat20293&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&parentType=index&parentId=cat20293&id=0011850 Berkeley and a few others make them also, I only recommend what I use. A snap swivel caused 2 problems for me On some lures: Like Original Floating Rapala and some cranks they altered the wobble of the lure On some older ( especially wood) baits they seemed to hang up more easily on the rear treble hooks These snaps do the job, let the lures action alone and they do not break
  23. Discourse and arguments are part of life, Passionate back and forth does not mean people hate or dislike each other. There is no harm intended here , a lot of passion about an inflammatory subject, If Dink need something or some info and I had it, he would get it. He is as passionate about his viewpoint as I am of mine, which I find refreshing and truthful. If I wanted nice all the time I would put on the LIFETIME CHANNEL ;D
  24. Hey Tommy: The fishery that is suffering has not been stocked since the late 70's. Bass reproduce well enough on their own. The Fish Commission is trying to get a better harvest from fisherman and at a public meeting had good stats that selective harvest is key to this lakes good health.
