Always tail up but I’m not sure why, after doing it so many years I can’t bring myself to even try it tail down. It just doesn’t look right ?

Jerkbaits for me, every time I go out it takes me a little while to get that perfect crisp snap down and when I’m working the bait aggressively it can wear my arm out in an hour, super fun and rewarding though!

Just curious, why do you recommend staying away from jerkbaits? They have been great to me from the shore and in my float tube, started fishing them a little over a year ago and they are by far my favorite technique now.

4.3 swimbaits and small double willow spinnerbaits have both been good to me this year. I have discovered with spinnerbaits that my fish won’t bite them when the water is hot but when it’s warming in the spring and cooling in the fall they can be amazing.

Bought two jerkbait lots for a good deal, it’s fun because I never would have picked some of these colors but in person they look amazing and I’m so pumped to use them. Figured out the pointer 78s I love so much are actually pointer 95s I believe, I kept thinking people were sending me 65s by mistake ? live and learn I guess, I’m really pumped to fish the slender pointers more, already caught a couple on them and they look great in the water.

Got a new tube and I’m driving to the lake now to test it out, it’s 34 degrees out and I’ve never floated when it’s this cold so we will see how it goes ?

Shoot I’m 28 and fish out of a float tube and beat the bank a lot too. I’m still learning and loving fishing, I just try not to compare myself to others and move along at my own pace. It’s all about learning and enjoying for me.

Man yesterday was pre front cloudy and warm, I thought I was gonna smash them. Only got one over 12 inches on a jerkbait, Sometimes it be like that.

Looks good! I’ve started buying unpainted jig heads when that is an option because to me they look just as natural and match any skirt color/plastic color anyway. Hope it produces for you

I’ve bought heads from boss and from siebert outdoors and both have been great quality.

Are you happy with those hidden weight spinnerbait frames? I’ve been meaning to get some and try assembling my own spinnerbaits

Do you do sharp twitches on slack line? Fish them in clear water?

You guys are right, I just love the extra confidence of fishing a bait that looks good to ME and the fish. Next time I catch a few on my pointers I will break the kvd out and see what happens

I’m just going to post my top 5 baits in general for the last few months Rage menace summer craw t rigged with 3/8th ounce weight. LC pointer 78 trd on 1/16th ounce half head 3/8th ounce spinnerbait with smaller than average blades in white/Shad colors/chart white 3inch largo shads on jig head

I wouldn’t be on those clear lakes without a ned rig and a small swim bait, both of those baits get bites for me on tenkiller when I can see fish but can’t get them to bite anything else.

I thought that could be what was going on but my pointers and STX had great action at the end of the pool that matched what I had seen on a long cast in clear wate. Maybe the strike king baits just need a little more distance

Can’t argue with those results, I know jerkbaits loose some of their action the closer they get to the boat/bank so maybe they look better on a long cast then they do in the pool. I will fish it confidently and see what happens. I hope y’all have a great Christmas ?

Just picked up one of these baits because they look decent, the price is right, and I’ve heard good things about them here. I tested it out in the pool the other day and the action just looked horrible to me, very little side to side darting and just a dull unnatural movement. I tried everything from gentle twitches to super aggressive snaps but couldn’t get it to look good at all. Did I get a bad bait or do these just have a super lazy action? I know a lot of you guys catch a lot of nice fish on these, I guess the only thing that matters is what the fish think of them.

Woah, can’t argue with those fish. Does that bait flap at all or does it glide like a beaver?
