  1. This is my first year to really fish crank baits and especially lipless cranks. I got some of the Strike King Red Eye Shads and have not looked back yet. These have been great producers. Later,

Really like this jig especially with a Berkely Chigger Craw to match. 3 inch in colder water and 4 inch in warmer water. Later,
  3. I picked up a couple as well, but be careful. BPS had pics on he web site of the 2010and then they changed them. They are shipping the older style with the old braking system and no the new style with the dual braking system. So if you order one be sure you state which one you want. It took me 3 times to finally get the correct one. For $180 it is a steal. Same real as the Premiere only $100 less and different color of course. Later,
  4. I use the Palomar or the new Improved Reverse Clinch Knot. Remember to moisten the knot, very important to not burn the line. Later,

Lets hope not, they need to improve the offensive line and the defense could sure use some help as well. Later,
  7. Love them, they are great. I fish them Texas rigged weighted and weightless. I use a 4/0 or 5/0 wide gap hook. Also can use them for jig trailers. Later,
  8. I have been using Tru-Tungsten but decided to try some of the BPS brand since they are on sale right now. Later,
  9. I like Berkely Crazy Legs Chigger Craws and the Power Hawg. Later,
  10. If you are referring to their fluorocarbon then yes, especially now when it is on sale. I have never had any problems with it. Later,
  11. Listen to RW, and have money to spare! I agree, he suggested I try this rod last year and it has been AMAZING!!! Later,
  12. Thanks for all the help, greatly appreciated. Going to BPS in the morning to check some out and then to Cabelas at lunch to see some more. Do you really need to use a 5:4.1 reel for fishing cranks? Or will a 6:4.1 work? Buying a new reel to go with the new rod. Later,
  13. I am looking at getting a crank bait rod for lipless cranks and shallow to medium diving crank baits and am looking for some advice as to what power and action rod I am going to need to get. Thanks,
  14. I have fished both and the Premiere is hands down the better of the two. Mind you my Curado also has upgraded ceramic bearings and believe me my Premiere right out of the box cast all baits better then my Curado, has a smoother retrieve and a much smoother drag. I also have the new Cores and the Premiere is in the same class and is also quite a bit cheaper the the Cores. Just my opinion Later,
  15. I like using all tubes. But my favorite is probably the YUM tubes in black and blue and the Strike King Coffee scent tubes in the same color. I also really like to use the Owner phantom tube hooks they work very well for giving the tubes a nice steady fall and can also give them a very nice erratic action when popped and swam back at a quick pace. Pics is of the first fish of the year, caught on a Strike King Coffee scent tube. Later,
  16. For around lilly pads and heavy grassy cover I use Power Pro 50lbs braid, if I am around rocks and timber then I use Berkley 100% fluorocarbon in 15lbs test. Later,

That is a good question? I saw Bill Dance using a new Yum F2 jig trailer and F2 scent, but have been unable to find it listed anywhere. Later,
  18. Get the new Skeet Reese, it is on sale at BPS for $180 and it is a 2010 Revo Premiere with his paint job and the bigger handle. Later,
  19. Well I just got the 2010 model Skeet Reese Revo and it does indeed have the new breaking system with dual brakes and the improved magnetic brakes as well. The reel is basically a 2010 Premiere with a bigger handle. Got it at BPS for $180 as they are on sale right now. The reel is freaking sweet other then the color but for $180 you cannot beat it. Later,
  20. I prefer the Palomar knot for both. Later,
  21. I have used the Premiere and the Mojo. Both rods are outstanding. The Triumph rod is on same blank as the Premiere or the Mojo. I personally prefer the Premiere, I like the solid grip better then the spilt grip. The BPS Carbonlite rod is nice looking and feels pretty good. Later,
  22. Nice info, will check into this. Need a couple new reels. Thanks,
  23. The Pro Qualifier reel is also on sale for $80 Later,
  24. I will throw a swim jig anywhere that I would throw a spinner bait. Basically I will throw them anywhere and anytime. Really like to fish them along a grassy bank with an overcast sky and a light rain. Later,
  25. BPS has their new Rick Clunn combos on sale for $160 and their Pro Qualifier Rods are on sale for $90 so a lot of good possibilities out their right now. Later,
