Taking care of my Rod and Reels
I use Trilene XL Smooth Casting and I found out the line has very low memory. I don' even have to change it after a trip. All I do is check the line for bumps and cut it off... altho, i think i should change it more often now since it could of been stretched out quite a bit. thanks for all the helpful tips. i dont think i will take apart my reels tho to lube them. i watched the video and it looks confusing.

Best Storage for Spinners and Buzz Baits
there are spinnerbait/buzzbait tackle boxes for liek 10 bucks, but they kinda suck as well... they don't really lock the spinnerbaits in place after you hang then up. if you happen to knock the box over, they fall out of place. i would be interested in someone recommend me something better.

Taking care of my Rod and Reels
I got a few questions about how to take care of my rod and reels. How often do I change my line if it's mono or braid? I saw some Quantum Hot Sauce Oil and Grease, Is the Oil for the baitcaster and grease for my spinning reels? How often should I be lubing them? Any tips?

Lucky Craft Pointer 100 Colors
clear clear water = MS American Shad clear water or stained = Ghost Minnow stained or muddy = Chartruese Shad. but if I had choose one, it would be the Chart. Shad because it can cover all situations pretty well.

crankbait - wide wobble vs. tight wobble
here is something interesting i read: "In cold water, bass respond better to a tight-wobbling crankbait, said FLW Tour pro George Cochran. All fish are conserving energy then, and they use the least amount of energy they can get by with. Baitfish move in short bursts. When the water heats up in the summertime, fish get sluggish and swim with a lazy wobble. Bass think a wide-wobbling crankbait is a big shad or a big bream. A wide wobble looks natural to them at that time.

best all around color
watermelon w/ black or watermelon w/ red is my favourite summer time colour. but green pumpkin is great too. if i am catching lots of fish, i like to use Bubble gum or bright pink to shock them. they go nuts over this colour.

crankbait - wide wobble vs. tight wobble
wide in warmer conditions, tight in cooler conditions was what i was told awhile back. i follow those and usually i just know what to use. i think if i want to burn a bait back, i would pick a tight lure. i'm not really sure tho, i mostly have wide wobble lures. maybe i should do a google search and see whatt i could find.

Crankbaits...whats good and whats not?
i have A LOT of bomber crankbaits. almost 90% of crankbaits from medium runners to deep are from the fat free shad family. they are great baits.

300+ dead bass.. oh i am heartbroken
awwwww man... that is horrible news indeed. it could take a few years for things to go back to normal, but that depends on how much effort is put into the process of recovery. i fish this one lake in southern ottawa, it used to be a hot spot, but someone told me they are going to shut down fishing for a year so that the numbers go back up. i wonder if a year will help.
